Ohio State: The Ohio State Football Strength and Conditioning Program is seeking elite candidates for the winter 2018 internship program. Qualified candidates will work directly with Football as well as having the opportunity of additional responsibilities with Olympic Sports Team as assigned by the Associate Director. Required qualifications: current CPR / AED; completion or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in the field. Looking for applicants working towards CSCCa hours (SCCC Certification) or credited hours towards undergraduate / graduate program. Other preferred qualifications included Certification(s) from CSCCa and NSCA, previous coaching experience(s), experience in collegiate sports, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Wyoming: The University of Wyoming Sports Performance Department is now accepting applications for SPRING 2018 VOLUNTEER INTERN positions (2). Application review will begin immediately. Job Description: Assist the sports performance staff in all day-to- day operations of the University of Wyoming weight rooms. Duties will include but are not limited to; assisting staff in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for Olympic Sports, setup and breakdown of training equipment and assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of weight rooms and the High Altitude Fueling Center. This is an ACTIVE coaching position which will require interns to work directly with student-athletes in large and small group settings. Interns must also complete all requirements assigned through the intern education program. Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s Degree in exercise science or a related field. Experience in a collegiate setting, and a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level. Prospective interns must pass a background check to be eligible for the position. Certification or working towards certifications with the NSCA-CSCS, CSCCa, and/or USAW is preferred. Compensation: This is an UNPAID POSITION. Class credit toward graduation requirements from your current institution, weekly structured education sessions, the opportunity to learn from five experienced strength and conditioning coaches. Yale: The Yale Football Sports Performance Staff is seeking qualified and hardworking individuals with a strong passion for College Football and Sport Performance, to fill Spring 2018 internship positions with the Yale Football Team and in the Varsity Weight-Room. These positions are unpaid, but provide valuable experience, and will begin around the second week of January 2018.
