Robert Morris (FCS - PA): Robert Morris University is currently seeking THREE qualified volunteer internship candidates for the 2021 Summer Term. The internship will be virtual for the first 10 weeks, starting May 17 th . The Internship will go on-site starting August 2 nd through the remainder of August. This is an unpaid position however, it is acceptable to have a part-time job to assist with personal finances. Chosen candidates can also have the opportunity to complete internship hours required for the CSCCa – SCCC exam under the mentorship of the Head Strength Coach. Minimum Qualifications: Strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm and effective communication skills, Desire to become a strength and conditioning coach, First Aid, CPR & AED certified. Interns must be fully vaccinated by August 2 nd . Choosen candidates for the position will have an opportunity to be retained as an apprentice with the strength and conditioning department for the fall and or spring semesters. Candidates need to have graduated by December 2021 to be considered for our apprenticeship. More information regarding the apprenticeship will be provided during a phone interview. It is strongly advised that all potential candidates make sure that this internship is economically feasible before applying. Cumberland: The Cumberland University Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for 2021-2022 school year. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the strength and conditioning staff with design, implementation, and monitoring of comprehensive strength training programs, providing proper instruction and supervision in training techniques, monitoring progress of athletes, data entry, communication with sport coaches, and daily upkeep of the weight room and facility. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in an Exercise Science or related field, current CPR/AED certification, current CSCS or SCCC certification, acceptance into a Cumberland University graduate school program, previous internship/coaching experience, desire to pursue career as a strength and conditioning coach, and a strong work ethic. A minimum of 20 hours a week are required for the term of the graduate program, including some evening and weekend hours. The anticipated start date is late July to early August, 2021. Compensation includes a full tuition waiver (no room and board waiver, books or fees) and valuable field experience.
