LSU: Louisiana State University is currently accepting applications for 5 Spring 2020 Volunteer Internship positions. Qualified candidates would work with the Football Strength and Conditioning Department as well as other Olympic sports. This is an unpaid position that is responsible for assisting the LSU Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of the Off-Season program, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility, and hands on experience training collegiate athletes. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and possess a strong work ethic. Participation in Collegiate Athletics is preferred. Other preferred qualifications include certification from an accredited organization, previous coaching experience, and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements. Hawaii: The University of Hawaii Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill Fall 2019 internship positions. Selected individuals will have the opportunity to work with all varsity sports teams including football. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience at the Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning level. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assisting with the supervision and execution of strength training programs, attending to daily maintenance of the training facility, assisting during practice, use of technology and weekly professional development throughout a structured internship program. Qualifications: Strong work ethic and desire to pursue a career in Strength and Conditioning. Notre Dame College (D-II - OH): Notre Dame College is looking to hire a director of strength and conditioning. The Director of Strength and Conditioning is responsible for the development/design and implementation of a training program for each of the 19 athletic programs at Notre Dame College. The coach will be responsible for providing guidance to coaches and student-athletes in the areas of performance enhancement, conditioning, speed/agility and strength training. The coach will also be responsible for working with the Athletic Training Department as needed with injury prevention workouts and the rehabilitation of injured student-athletes. The coach will also be responsible for oversight of the weight room, including supervision of student staff. The coach will also be required to stay current on all College, Mountain East Conference and NCAA policies. Bridgton (Postgrad - ME): Bridgton Academy, an all postgraduate prep school in North Bridgton, ME has an immediate opening for a Strength & Conditioning Intern for the '19 - '20 academic year. Responsibilities include supervision and execution of strength training programs for entire athletic department (6 primary sports). Duties pertinent to boarding schools will be assigned.
