Purdue: Purdue Athletics is currently looking to fill an open Assistant Director of Strength & Conditioning position. This position will focus on the training of Purdue’s wrestling program. Interested individuals can apply by clicking on this link.

Real Salt Lake (Major League Soccer): The Real Salt Lake department of Physical Performance is seeking qualified interns. Interns will assist with day to day departmental operation of the clubs MLS, USL, and academy programs. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to assisting with strength and conditioning sessions, supporting sport science and athlete monitoring, assisting with nutritional initiatives, and any other duties deemed appropriate by the Physical Performance staff. Interns must display a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Start Date: Subject to availability Commitment: Minimum 3 months; 6months preferable Minimum 20 hours a week Educational requirements: Interns must be working towards or have already obtained a degree in either exercise science or a related field. Previous experience: None required, experience playing and working in high level sport preferred. Mercer: The Mercer University Strength and Conditioning Staff is looking for highly motivated and hardworking interns/volunteers for the Fall 2017 semester. This is an UNPAID position, but candidates will be assisted in finding housing, if necessary. Interns/volunteers will work with all 18 sports teams here at Mercer University. Internship includes a curriculum designed to help interns pass the CSCS or SCCC exam, hands on experience assisting strength coaches with assigned teams, set up and break down for each group, facility maintenance and upkeep, and weekly and semester long projects. If interns display competency and meet the prerequisites, the opportunity to program and implement for teams can result. Previous intern or athletic experience at the collegiate level and First Aid/CPR is preferred, but not required. Candidates must be able to work early mornings, have/or working towards their CSCS or SCCC. Interns/volunteers will start August 21 st , 2017 and the position will run until the beginning of December. Purdue: Purdue Football Strength and Conditioning is currently accepting applications for internship positions for FALL 2017. Interns will have the opportunity to work with the football strength staff as well as participate in special projects, sport science, and education sessions. Qualifications: Students interested in applying must need the experience for class credit. Kutztown: Kutztown University seeking two (2) Volunteer Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coaches for the upcoming Fall and Spring semesters. This will include both strength and conditioning and sport science. Duties include but are not limited to the design and implementation of strength, speed and conditioning programs for assigned teams (1-2 teams each), design and implementation of pregame warm-up protocols, implementation and data analysis of sport science research, maintaining open communication with coaches and athletic trainers of assigned sports and upkeep of facility. Although this is an unpaid position, there is the possibility of discounted on-campus housing (on a first come first serve basis). Minimum Qualifications: CSCS or SCCC certification, First Aid/CPR/AED certified and previous strength and conditioning experience within a team setting. St. Joseph's University (Philadelphia, PA): Saint Joseph’s University is currently accepting applications to fill 2-3 VOLUNTEER INTERN positions for the FALL 2017 semester. Saint Joseph’s University is a DIVISION 1 school located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and competes in the A-10 conference, NEC Men’s Lacrosse. One candidate will be selected to work specifically with the basketball programs at Saint Joseph’s University. The remaining candidates selected will assist with Olympic sports that are assigned to them. Candidates will gain Division 1 experience, knowledge of sound yearly programming and training practices, experience with POLAR HEART RATE SYSTEMS data collection and interpretation, experience working with TEAMBUILDR, as well as fulfill practical internship hours under a Master Strength Coach mentor and be eligible to sit for the SCCC certification offered by the CSCCa. Applicants that can commit to both fall and spring semester will have their CSCCa practicum,certification and conference travel paid for. Applying candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or a related field, desire to pursue a future career in strength and conditioning, and flexible hours including weekends. The start date for the positions will be August 21st, 2017.
