Albright: Albright College Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for 3 Volunteer Interns for the Fall of 2019. This is an UNPAID position. The intern will be assisting with a variety of strength and conditioning areas: athlete management, program design, exercise selection and cueing, Olympic lifting progressions and techniques, plyometric, speed and agility techniques, energy system development, and recovery methods. Responsibilities will be earned and will be based upon work ethic, punctuality, and ability. Hours will vary throughout the term and will be discussed further upon employment. Required qualifications include a strong work ethic, completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional in the collegiate or professional setting. All applicants should have, or be working towards an accredited certification (CSCS or SCCC). Other qualifications include previous coaching experience, preferably in a collegiate setting, and personal involvement in a collegiate competitive sport. Clarion (D-II - PA): Clarion University (D-II PA): Clarion University, a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) is currently seeking volunteers for an UNPAID strength & Conditioning internship for the 2019 fall semester. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to assist the S&C staff with training in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an opportunity that offers valuable knowledge, experience, and skill sets that are vital to advancing in the sports performance profession. During the internship, potential candidates will receive hands-on experience working with with all sports, as well as a Division I wrestling program. In addition, candidates will have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities and mentorship. This internship has an anticipated start date of August 26 th 2019. Miles College: Miles College Strength & Conditioning is currently seeking volunteers for an UNPAID internship to contribute to the program for Fall 2019. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to assist the full-time staff with training sessions for all athletics in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an unpaid opportunity that offers invaluable knowledge, hands-on experience assisting the full-time coaching staff in all aspects of the strength and conditioning program, and the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities. Potential candidates must possess a strong work ethic and character, great energy and enthusiasm, as well as the ability to demonstrate effective organization and communication skills. Potential candidates must have a great desire to learn about the strength and conditioning profession as well as pursue a career in the collegiate setting. Responsibilities include, but not are not limited to, assisting with the daily implementation of training for the Miles College Athletics, set-up and breakdown of daily strength and conditioning training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, and data collection. Previous experience in a strength & conditioning program, coaching internship experience, or collegiate athletics experience is preferred but not required.
