Bishop Gorman High School (Las Vegas, NV): Bishop Gorman seeks applicants for a full-time Strength and Conditioning Coach that will also be an Assistant Football Coach (Coaching position can be on either side of the ball). Preference will be given to applicants with a strong Strength and Conditioning background. Must be highly motivated, have a yearly plan, have a high level of discipline, must be proficient in the techniques of lifting, and must have experience in training large groups of individuals. Applicant must also be familiar with French Contrast Training, Contrast Training, Complex Training. Applicants must also possess an understanding of corrective measures and must have an organized tracking system for the athletes. In addition to these duties, the position will be responsible for other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. UNLV: The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Football Strength & Conditioning Internship program is now accepting applications for the Summer of 2017. The internship will begin on Tuesday, May 30th and conclude on Friday, August 4th . These are voluntary, unpaid positions. Housing, meals and transportation are the responsibility of the candidate. Qualifications include a having a fanatical work ethic, completion or current pursuit of a degree in Exercise Science (or a related course of study), and a strong desire to become a Strength & Conditioning Coach. CPR and First Aid Certification are mandatory; CSCCa and/or NSCA Certification are preferred. Individuals who are accepted will gain valuable experience and knowledge, course credit (if approved by their institution) and recommendations for future career opportunities. Assisting in the day-to- day operations of the facility, responsibilities include: supervision and execution of football lifting/conditioning sessions, set up/breakdown of workout stations, data collection and input, routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and preparing nutritional supplementation for student- athletes. Central Michigan:  The CMU Strength and Conditioning Department has three summer 2017 unpaid academic internship opportunities available for undergraduate and graduate degree seeking students. Applicants must receive academic credit from current University to be considered. These academic internship positions are designed to engage current students actively seeking a career as a strength and conditioning coach in the day-to-day operations of a Division I weight room. Students will be exposed to all aspects of an NCAA Division I strength and conditioning program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with the supervision and training of ALL varsity programs that are on campus during the summer period, completing weekly requirements set out with a hands on weekly curriculum, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties, and teaching techniques in a wide variety of lifts.These intern positions provide the opportunity to gain valuable experience while working in a dynamic, educational based, and collaborative environment. Ideal candidates will be certified or actively pursuing certification from NSCA and/or CSCCa. If candidate is currently in pursuit of CSCS certification, Central Michigan University is an approved online proctoring site for the exam. Interns should be prepared to work up to 40 hours/week, which may include days, nights, weekends and/or holidays. North Florida: North Floridais looking to hire summer strength and conditioning interns. Qualifications: Student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with the desire to develop college athletes. Experience in program development and implementation: including knowledge in functional / sport specific - agility, speed, flexibility, plyometric, and weight training. Full and Part- Time positions available. Compensation: Valuable experience working with Division-I athletes. Possible mentorship for CSCCa certification.
