This is an unpaid position that is responsible for assisting the Rutgers Football strength staff with all aspects of preparing a Big Ten football team. Georgia Southern: Georgia Southern University Olympic Strength and Conditioning department is looking to fill four to five (4-5) VOLUNTEER assistant positions for Summer/Fall 2020. Qualified candidates will work directly with the Georgia Southern Olympic Sports teams including but not limited to; baseball/softball, men’s/women’s basketball, volleyball and men’s/women’s soccer. This is an UNPAID opportunity that provides experience working in a Division I environment within the Sun Belt Conference. Interns will complete a comprehensive internship curriculum designed for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning through mentorship, teaching, professional/personal development and pre-arranged networking opportunities with other college strength coaches. Candidates will be able to fulfill the internship requirements of the CSCCa under approved mentor Donald Day. Qualified candidates (CSCS or SCCC) will have the opportunity to assist in all training sessions with the implementation of individualized, comprehensive, sport-specific injury prevention and performance enhancement programs. Required qualifications: current CPR / AED; completion of an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science or a related field. Applicants should be working toward or have completed certification(s) from CSCCa and/or NSCA. Seeking those who will embody the Georgia Southern culture: blue collar, servant leaders. Start date (in Statesboro, GA) will be June 1st. There will be potential of retention through the 2020 fall semester. LSU: Louisiana State University is currently accepting applications for ONE 2020 Volunteer Internship position. Qualified candidates would work with the Football Strength and Conditioning Department helping with all facets of Sports Science. This is an unpaid position that is responsible for assisting the LSU Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of technology in the weightroom, GPS System, Forceplate, and assisting with gathering and assembling all data. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a Strength and Conditioning or Sports Science professional, proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, and possess a strong work ethic. There is no monetary compensation so if this position is not an economically feasible option for you, please do not apply. Campbell: Campbell University Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking applicants who are highly motivated to fill internship positions for Summer 2020 starting May13 and going through July 24th. This is an unpaid position. Interns will have the chance to earn additional responsibilities. Academic credits can be applied towards an Exercise Science or related Undergraduate/Graduate program if necessary. The internship is “mentor approved” for those preparing to complete the required hours for the SCCC certification. With education through experience being our main goal, interns will be provided and challenged with the key qualities for success in the Strength and Conditioning field. This includes professional development and continuing education, daily opportunities to learn and grow as a leader, expansion of network connections, teaching student athletes’ proper lifting technique, weekly meetings, and daily weight room maintenance. Qualifications: strong work ethic, attention to detail, enthusiasm, effective communication skills, positive energy, willingness to work, Bachelor’s degree or a degree in process, hold certification(s) and/or seeking to get certified in at least one of the major certifications below.
