South Alabama: The University of South Alabama Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for 1 or 2 more football interns for Fall 2019. This position offers Division I experience, training and the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning. Responsibilities will include: assist the Football Strength

and Conditioning staff in the supervision and training of the South Alabama football team; assist with daily cleaning and maintenance duties; assist in the set-up and break-down of equipment for every workout and spotting athletes. Minimum Qualifications: must have a COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE, PASSION for the strength and conditioning field and a TEAM FIRST MENTALITY. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and pursuing CSCS or relevant certification from one of the following: NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW and CPR –First Aid certification. InternshipStart Date: Aug. 1 Candidates must email a letter of application, resume and the names of three references to Lance Ancar at lanceancar@southalabama.edu.

Wright State (D-I - OH): Wright State University is seeking two (2) volunteer Strength and Conditioning interns for the fall of 2019. This is an UNPAID position. Accepted applicants will receive practical hands-on experience in strength and conditioning at the Division 1 level, as well as class credit (if applicable) and the opportunity to participate in the intern education curriculum. Required qualifications: First Aid/CPR/AED training, the desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, a strong work ethic, the ability to commit to AT LEAST 20 hours per week, and effective communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications: CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification, or in the process of obtaining any or all of the aforementioned certifications, and previous coaching experience. Responsibilities: Assist full time coaches in implementing programs, set up and break down of training sessions, weight room maintenance and upkeep, intern curriculum assignments and projects, and any other tasks or projects assigned by staff as they arise.
