South Alabama: The University of South Alabama’s Football Strength and Conditioning Staff is currently accepting applications for the Fall of 2017 Internship. This is an unpaid position but can be used for school credit. Those accepted will receive Division 1 FBS experience and have the ability to earn professional references and possible future career recommendations. Duties include cleaning and maintenance of the facilities, aiding in preparation of athlete nutritional needs, set up and breakdown for lifts, spotting etc. Qualifications include: HIGH ENERGY, punctuality, and attention to detail. The Citadel Strength & Conditioning department has a stellar reputation and strong ties within the performance industry. We are known for our dynamic training environment, adherence to technical execution and emphatic TEAM culture. We are looking to hire a dependable Strength & Conditioning (S&C) Coaching Assistant to help facilitate our varsity weight room, which is affectionately known as, “The Dawg Pound.” This team member will collaborate with sport coaches and the sports medicine staff to tailor, manage and recap training programs for up to four sports. This role will also assist with the football S&C program, cadet-managers, sports nutrition and facility maintenance. Schedule will be flexible, but dictated by team schedules. This is a full time hourly, non-permanent position spanning the Fall & Spring semesters, for up to 35 weeks. Starting date for the position will be August 21, 2017. The rate of pay is $10.00 per hour. The CSCCa field experience requirement will be satisfied under our director, Donnell Boucher, an approved CSCCa mentor. To be considered, candidates should have at least one year of collegiate S&C coaching experience, a four-year degree, and an S&C-specific certification (CSCS, SCCC or PES). Strong interpersonal communication, technological literacy and organizational skills must be demonstrated during the interview process. Current CPR/First Aid certification is required. Learn the inner workings of a Division-1 program and work for coaches who blend tradition with scientific foundation.
