Delta State (D-II - MS): Delta State University is currently accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant. Candidates for this position must be highly motivated to pursue a career in the Strength and Conditioning field, and must possess strong leadership qualities as they will be asked to assist and lead in-season and off-season workouts for 14 athletic teams. Applicants also need to have the ability to teach safe strength and conditioning practices and be able to teach and demonstrate lifting techniques and overall safety measures in the weight room. REQUIREMENTS: Must have Bachelor’s degree with a 2.75 GPA (or a 3.0 in your last 64 hours of coursework). Must have CPR Certification, working towards or have a CSCS, NSCA, SCCC, or USAW certification. COMPENSATION: Tuition, two meals a day, a small stipend each semester. Buena Vista: Buena Vista University (BVU) is seeking a full time Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. This position primarily designs, implements and supervises sport specific strength and conditioning programs for all student athletes at BVU. Works collaboratively with head coaches, as well as EXSC faculty, on the coordination of personal training and/or strength and conditioning programs. A Bachelor’s degree is required and a Master’s degree is preferred. The candidate must hold either a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or be Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) as well as have current CPR and First Aid Certifications. In addition, three years of experience working with student-athletes and coaches at the collegiate level is preferred.
