Southwest Baptist: The Southwest Baptist University Athletics Department is now accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning. This is a two year position intended to start the 2016 academic year as soon as possible. Compensation includes full tuition waiver and monthly stipend. Responsibilities: assisting in all aspects of the Athletic Performance program, design and implementation of sport specific training programs for assigned teams; ability to effectively teach and execute proper technique of lifts and drills; supervision of team workouts; assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the Athletic Performance Facility & compliance with all appropriate university, Conference, and NCAA Rules/Regulations. Required qualifications include strong work ethic, completion of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional in the collegiate or professional setting. Preferred qualifications include working toward or already obtained a certification from an accredited strength and conditioning organization (CSCCa, NSCA, USAW, etc.), possess CPR/AED and First Aid certification, and experience working in a college or university weight room with various teams and hours. Applicants must be admitted into the graduate program prior to start date. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and athletic performance/strength and conditioning related technology is encouraged. Hanover (D-III - IN): Hanover College, a selective Division III liberal arts college in southern Indiana, invites applicants for a Strength & Condition Football Intern Coach for fall of 2016. Responsibilities include: supervision of the football training in-season and off-season programs, assisting with daily practices as a defensive assistant. Gardner-Webb University is a private, Christian, Baptist-related university in Boiling Springs, NC home to 22 NCAA Division I Athletics Programs in the Big South, SOCON, & CCSA Conferences. This is a 12-month Full -Time appointment with salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience. The intended start date is August 2016. The position is subject to a university background check. Responsibilities: Assisting in all aspects of the Gardner-Webb Athletic Performance program, design and implementation of sport specific training programs for 3-4 assigned sports teams with the ability to assist/travel with Football. The position has been assigned Baseball, Women’s Basketball & Volleyball in previous years, but candidates past working experiences & strengths will be taken into account in assignment of specific teams. Help mentor current/future Graduate Assistants, Interns, & Volunteer Athletic Performance coaches. Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in an appropriate area of specialization with at least two years of experience in Athletic Performance (Strength & Conditioning) at the NCAA, professional or Olympic level. CSCCa (SCCC), NSCA (CSCS), USAW, PES or FMS, as well as CPR / AED certification required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs & Athletic Performance (Strength & Conditioning) related technology is highly encouraged.
