Missouri S&T: Missouri S&T has an opening for the position of Strength and Conditioning Coach. The position will develop, implement, coordinate, supervise and promote strength and conditioning programs for the Missouri S&T Athletic Department and the student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program. Additional responsibilities will include educational support in coordination with wellness activities. A Bachelor’s degree is required. A Master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in collegiate sports strength and conditioning (or comparable experience) is required. Certification or willingness to become certified in strength and conditioning (CSCS or SCCC certification) by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association or the National Strength Coaches Association is required. Newberry College (SC): Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina is accepting applications for two positions as Strength and Conditioning Intern and/or Volunteer Assistants for the 2016 Fall semester. Responsibilities include: Assisting the Director of Strength and Conditioning with the supervision and training of Newberry’s Strength and Conditioning program including assisting in the implementation of strength programs for all sports including football, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of various educational assignments during the internship are required. Preferred qualifications include: A great work ethic, Strong desire for the field of strength and conditioning, and willingness to learn. Pursuing Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certifications; CPR certification and coaching experience.
