South Florida: University of South Florida Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for 8 Strength and Conditioning Intern Coaches for the Fall Semester of 2019. This is an UNPAID position; however, this opportunity offers a valuable professional recommendation for advancement in the field of strength & conditioning. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with the daily implementation of off-season training for the USF Football team, set-up and breakdown of daily strength and conditioning training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, data collection, as well as participation in an internship curriculum. Interns will also have the opportunity to assist in the design and implementation of various Olympic Sports training programs. Interested candidates should email a cover letter, resume, and three references to Ryan Waterbury, University of South Florida requires selected candidates to partake in a background check prior to participation in the internship.

Angelo State (D-II - TX): Angelo State University is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 2019 Fall semester. This position is through the Developing Women Coaches Program at ASU for women interested in coaching to complete a program of study while also engaging in a practicum experience with strength & conditioning. FEMALE APPLICANTS ONLY! The primary responsibilities of this position are to design and implement efficient and scientific training programs for assigned teams under the approval of the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the Strength and Conditioning Staff in all aspects of training for all sports, program administration, working directly with student athletes to teach proper lifting technique, assess and document progress of the student athletes during training, and maintain a clean, sanitized weight room. As a graduate assistant within ASU Athletics, you are expected to maintain professionalism, the Angelo State University graduate assistant minimum GPA of 3.0, and must be working towards a post-baccalaureate degree. All applicants may be subject to a background check. Minimum Qualifications: bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field, apply and be accepted into the Coaching, Sport, Recreation and Fitness Administration program at ASU, possess or be working towards a nationally accredited certification (SCCC or CSCS), and MUST be CPR/AED certified. Preferred Qualifications: a nationally accredited certification (SCCC, CSCS, USAW), personal involvement in a collegiate competitive sport, and at least one (1) internship in the strength and conditioning field at the collegiate setting. Position includes a tuition waiver and stipend.
