West Alabama: The University of West Alabama is seeking to fill TWO Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning positions that will begin in the Summer of 2021. Responsibilities: Assist with Football Performance, program design/implementation for 2-3 assigned teams, weight room supervision and upkeep, daily communication with sport coaches and athletic trainers, and other duties assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning. Required: Bachelor’s Degree, current CSCS/SCCC and CPR/AED certifications, and previous S&C coaching experience (Internships included). To be considered for the position, the candidate must be admitted into graduate school at UWA. Consideration will be given to individuals who display strong initiative, interpersonal/communication skills, and a hunger to learn and develop. Kansas State: Trumain Carroll, who spent the 2020 season at South Florida and the two years prior to that at Arkansas as director of strength and conditioning, has been named to the same post at Kansas State.

Florida State: Florida State University: The Seminoles football program seeks to hire a summer intern. The goal of our program is to provide an encompassing view of collegiate strength and conditioning, including programming, exercise technique and facility upkeep. The internship position is geared primarily towards Football, but the intern will in addition gain exposure to a diverse array of 15 Sports in a high paced environment. As an intern in the Florida State Athletic Development program you will have the opportunity to gain on the floor coaching experience, under the bar training in the program, exposure to our sports science department and areas of expertise from our nutritional staff. Aside from the daily duties required of the position there will be assigned readings and projects to further develop your knowledge base. This internship is designed for you to develop the needed experience and skillset to make you a strong candidate in taking the next step in your coaching career- this typically being a graduate assistant position. This internship is intended for those whose #1 goal is to become a Strength & Conditioning coach at the collegiate level. Qualifications: In pursuit of or recent completion of a Bachelor’s degree in an exercise science related field. Experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting. If not already certified you will be expected to begin your certification process towards your CSCS, SCCC, and/or USAW during your internship. Compensation: This is an unpaid position with no housing or meal assistance. Internship credit hours can be obtained along with expanding your professional network and references. USF: Following the departure of Trumain Carroll to Kansas State, USF has announced that AJ Artis has been named director of football strength and conditioning. He spent last season in the same role at Tennessee.

St. Augustine (D-II - NC): The St. Augustine's University Strength and Conditioning Department in Raleigh, NC is now accepting applications for engaging, highly motivated volunteer strength and conditioning coach positions for the fall of 2021. All interested candidates will take the next big step in their strength and conditioning careers by engaging in the day-to-day operations of running a Division II weight room at one of the most prestigious HBCU's in the nation! No housing or monetary compensation will be offered, but the hands-on experience and possible positive professional reference(s) will help lead you into the next stages of your career! Appalachian State: Appalachian State University’s Olympic Sports Strength & Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of Unpaid/Volunteer Intern for the Summer of 2021 semester. This is a highly competitive and demanding internship. The daily responsibilities include: 1. Assisting with supervision and execution of strength training and conditioning programs for multiple sports 2. Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities 3. Participation in weekly projects and various assignments throughout the internship program Compensation: Division I Intercollegiate experience, earned recommendation toward further success as a Strength & Conditioning Coach, and college credit toward graduation if applicable. Qualifications: Required strong work ethic, highly motivated, and a strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength & conditioning. Concordia St. Paul: Concordia St. Paul Strength and Conditioning is accepting applications for 2021 SummerStrength and Conditioning Volunteer Internship. This is an UNPAID position. Start date: May 10th, 2021 - End Date: August 27th, 2021. Those dates are tentative. Volunteer responsibilities include: Assisting with implementation of strength and conditioning programs at CSP; Assisting with daily operations and facility/equipment maintenance; set up and take down of strength and conditioning facilities for workouts; involvement in an internship education program, and other duties assigned by the strength staff. Volunteer qualifications include: CPR/First Aid and AED certification; passion to listen, learn and apply your knowledge. Preferred qualifications include: Pursuing CSCS or SCCC certification, playing and/or coaching experience in collegiate (or higher) athletics.
