Tarleton State (D-II - TX): The Tarleton State University Athletic Performance Program is accepting internship applications for the summer 2017 semester, with a starting date on or before June 5, 2017 and an end date of August 4. 2017. The internship hours may be countable toward the CSCCa’s Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified practicum requirements, and/or for college credit if needed. The volunteer internship will involve active experience in an NCAA Division II Athletic Performance program under the supervision of a Master Strength and Conditioning Coach and his staff. Qualifications: Applicants should be pursuing strength and conditioning as a profession and possess, or currently be working on, CSCCa, NSCA, or USAW certification. Compensation: This is an educational internship with no monetary compensation provided. However, opportunities for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning are possible for successful interns. USC: The University of Southern California - Athletic Department, is currently seeking full time, UNPAID/volunteer, Strength & Conditioning interns for Football, for the Summer of 2017. The internship will begin on May 29, 2017 and conclude on July 28, 2017. This is a Non Paid/Volunteer position. Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants will receive experience working at the Division 1/Pacific 12 Conference level and receive college credit (if applicable). Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of the University of Southern California’s strength and conditioning program; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance items; completion of educational curriculum and assignments during the internship. Minimum Qualifications: Punctuality, strong work ethic, highly motivated, very reliable, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional and hold or be pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or Physiology related field. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Strength & Conditioning or Sports Performance environment, hold or working toward nationally accredited Strength and Conditioning certifications (CSCS, CSCCa, USAW, etc.), and knowledge or experience working with Microsoft Excel. Santa Clara: Santa Clara University Sports Performance is currently seeking applicants for 4 volunteer UNPAID internship positions beginning July 2017. This is a unique opportunity as hired individuals will be assigned as Sport Performance Coaches over one or more teams and be responsible for their athletic development under full-time staff supervision. Required qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors or master’s degree in exercise science or a related field and a strong desire to become a Collegiate/Professional Strength & Conditioning Coach. Oregon: Oregon Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for interns for Summer 2017.This is a volunteer, UNPAID, position and offers Division I experience and training in an educational environment, also the opportunity for future recommendations for opportunities in the field of strength and conditioning.Responsibilities will include: assist the Football Strength and Conditioning staff in the training of the University of Oregon’s Division I football program; assist with daily administrative, and maintenance duties; assist in the set-up and break-down of equipment for every workout; spotting athletes and participate in weekly projects and assignments for the duration of the internship.Minimum Qualifications: must have a strong work-ethic, enthusiasm and a desire to develop the characteristics necessary to become a successful strength and conditioning coach.Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and pursuing CSCS or relevant certification from one of the following: NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW and CPR –First Aid certification.Internship Start Date: Approximately the beginning of May to the end of July.Candidates must email a letter of application, resume and references to Coach Joey Carnes at

Eastern Michigan: Eastern Michigan University Sports Performance is looking for qualified and motivated sports performance interns for the Summer 2017 semester. The internship will begin Sunday May 14thand end on Friday July 28th 2017. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing or completed Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology or related field; working towards NSCA-CSCS, CSCCa, USAW certifications; CPR certification. One year of previous experience in a strength and conditioning program or have previous collegiate athletics experience. Compensation: This is a non-paid position. Those accepted into the program will be provided with a one of a kind internship curriculum, practical strength and conditioning experience, and career mentorship. Hours completed can be applied toward undergraduate/graduate internship requirements and/or the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association certification practicum requirement. Purdue: Purdue Football Strength and Conditioningis currently accepting applications for internship positions for SUMMER 2017. Interns will have the opportunity to work with the football strength staff as well as participate in special projects, sport science, and education sessions.
