Colorado State: The Colorado State University Pueblo Sport Performance Department is currently accepting applications for a two (2) PAID Strength and Conditioning INTERNS. This position is yearly with the opportunity to be renewed each year. This position will be compensated with a monthly stipend ($12,000 per year/$1,000 per month). The Paid-Intern will be responsible for program design & implementation with assigned teams & other duties as assigned by the Director of Sport Performance Coach. In addition to team responsibilities, the Paid-Intern Coach will learn under a CSCCa Approved Mentor & will be eligible to sit for SCCC exam (if applicable). Minimum requirements include having a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a CSCS (NSCA) or SCCC (CSCCa) certification as well as be CPR/AED/First Aid (can be completed upon hire) certified. Eastern Illinois: Eastern Illinois University: EIU Football Performance is seeking hard working, enthusiastic candidates to fill available internship positions for the Summer (June to August 2021). We are looking to fill 1-3 UNPAID internship positions. Candidates must be completing or have completed a degree in Exercise Science or a related field, and have a strong desire to pursue Strength & Conditioning as a career. The internship program is intended to provide hands on coaching experience, and prepare for the CSCS Exam. Responsibilities will include assisting with team training sessions, professional development assignments, facility maintenance, and other tasks as designated by the Performance staff. North Carolina Central: The Sports Performance Department at North Carolina Central University is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in the design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for assigned sports, communication with coaches, staff and administration. Compensation: includes full tuition waiver and a monthly stipend. Qualifications: Candidates must be admitted to the Graduate Program at NCCU. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and pursuing SCCC, CSCS or relevant certification from one of the following: NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW and CPR –First Aid certification. Previous coaching experience at the High School, Collegiate, Professional or Private Sector. Candidates additionally have the option of completing the internship practicum for the CSCCa Examination. Briar Cliff (NAIA - IA): Briar Cliff University is seeking qualified applicants for a Strength & Conditioning graduate assistant position. This position will be responsible for assisting in design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for assigned sports, communication with coaches and athletic trainers, and daily upkeep and maintenance of the facility. Candidates must have their bachelor’s degree and be admitted to the Briar Cliff University graduate school. Prior intern/work experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting is required. Preferred qualifications include NSCA- CSCS, CSCCa-SCCC, or USAW certifications along with CPR/AED/First Aid certification and experience as a collegiate athlete. The position includes full tuition remission, a 10-month stipend of $2,500 annually (August-May) or food allowance, and free on-campus housing is available. Projected start date is August 1, 2021.
