Towson: Towson University Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill VOLUNTEER internship positions. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division 1 collegiate strength and conditioning setting while coaching all 19 varsity teams. This internship will fulfill course credit if necessary. Goals: Be an integral member of the staff, improve on floor coaching, assist in program writing, implementation, and analysis, and learn the necessary tools to obtain a career in the strength and conditioning field. Responsibilities: Assist full-time staff in the implementation and development of programs designed to improve strength, speed, power, and energy system development, enhance functional movement patterns, improve joint and soft-tissue support, daily maintenance of training facilities, and administrative duties as assigned. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in an extensive curriculum that will enhance both scientific and practical knowledge pertaining to the field. Interns may apply for semester or multiple semester/yearlong internships. Candidates should be certified in First Aid/CPR/AED and be pursuing CSCS or SCCC certifications. Southwestern (NAIA - KS): Southwestern College is seeking applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. This position is a 12 month position starting July 2, 2018 and is a two year commitment. Southwestern College is a member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC). Compensation: Monthly stipend, Full tuition waiver, Room & Board Responsibilities: This position will serve as the head strength and conditioning coach for a variety of collegiate teams at Southwestern College. Requirements of this position include the design and implementation of year-round training programs for assigned teams. These programs include, but are not limited to, dynamic warm-ups, speed development, plyometric, weightlifting, conditioning, and mobility training. The qualified candidate will work closely with our sports medicine staff for injury status and return-to-play protocols. Additionally, this position will assist the strength and conditioning staff with sanitation and upkeep to the training facility. NY Jets: The NY Jets Strength & Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for a Training Camp Volunteer Intern. Dates run from July 23, 2018 through August 29, 2018. Academic credit is the only compensation. Responsibilities include assisting the Strength & Conditioning Staff in all aspects of the Strength & Conditioning program.
