Louisville: The University of Louisville Football Strength and Conditioning Volunteer Internship Program is currently accepting applications for the 2018 Spring semester. The internship will begin January 7th. These internships are unpaid and non-coaching positions. Prerequisites: The candidate must be pursing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field and be CPR and First Aid certified. Candidates must be considering, pursing or possess a certification through the CSCCa and/or NSCA. Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to assisting in the day to day operations of the facility, cleaning and maintenance duties, set-up and break-down of equipment for all workouts, data collection, organizing nutrition/fueling station and assist with GPS catapult systems. The internship program will consist of mock interviews, presentations to the staff, weekly topics and bi-weekly evaluations. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic, respectable character, 100% commitment to the program and a desire to pursue a career in the strength and conditioning field. Towson: Towson University Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill Spring 2017 unpaid volunteer internship positions. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting while working with all 19 varsity teams. This internship will fulfill course credit if necessary. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in an extensive curriculum that will enhance both scientific and practical knowledge pertaining to the field. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with the implementation of strength and conditioning programs, attending to daily maintenance of training facilities, and administrative duties as assigned by strength coaches. Qualified candidates should have a strong desire to become a collegiate strength and conditioning coach and be pursuing a bachelors/masters in exercise science or a related field. Candidates should be certified in First Aid/CPR/AED and be pursuing CSCS or SCCC certifications. Interns will gain hands on experience and the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of strength and conditioning. Tulane: Tulane University Strength and Conditioning is currently seeking applicants for 3 volunteer UNPAID internships for BOTH Football (2) and Olympic Sports (1) for the Spring Semester 2018. This position will run from January 16th to May 4th. Required qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors or masters degree in exercise science or a related field and a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coach. Preferred qualifications: Experience as a collegiate athlete and currently pursuing or possessing NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa certification(s). This is a non-paid volunteer position, it may fulfill course credit if necessary.
