Stanford: Stanford University is accepting applications for volunteer intern coaches to contribute to the Sports Performance program. Qualified candidates will serve all 36 sports including Football and will have the opportunity to assist in all training sessions in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an unpaid opportunity that provides experience assisting the staff to implement individualized, comprehensive, sport-specific injury prevention and performance enhancement programs. Potential candidates must possess an enthusiastic spirit, strong character, and demonstrate effective organization and communication skills. Required qualifications include achievement or current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related course of study and CSCS or SCCC certification. Applicants must also have current CPR/AED certification. This internship is expected to begin no later than Monday, January 8th, 2018, and requires a 6-month time commitment with opportunities to continue pending positive evaluation. During this evaluation, interns will have the opportunity to compete and earn consideration for a paid intern position on the Sports Performance staff. Georgia Tech: Georgia Tech Strength and Conditioning is accepting applications for a fall 2017 unpaid Intern Assistant. The position will work with various teams alongside the full time staff while gaining experience into day to day operations of our strength and conditioning department. Preferred qualifications: Prior Experience, Bachelor’s Degree, Certification (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW), CPR-First Aid. The finalist must be able to pass a background check. University of Albany: The University at Albany Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. This position will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the strength & conditioning program for Football, as well designing and implementing the strength & conditioning program for 1-2 assigned teams. This is a 12 month appointment with an annual salary of $16,867, and is eligible for benefits. There is a possibility for renewal at the end of the contractual year. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or in a related field, and at least one (1) year of experience as an Intern or Graduate Assistant in a collegiate or professional environment. Potential applicants are also required to hold a certification from a nationally accredited organization (NSCA or CSCCA) and be CPR/AED Certified.
