Reinhardt (NAIA - GA): Reinhardt University is looking for a new head strength coach for the football program. Full time position, with benefits. Elizabeth City State (D-II - NC): Elizabeth City State University is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Head Strength & Conditioning Coordinator. The Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator is responsible for designing, implementing performance programming, and monitoring weight training and conditioning for 10 varsity sports, and daily weight room upkeep. Constant communication from the Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator to the head sport coaches, and athletic training staff will be required. In addition, the program is responsible for instructing and preparing student-athletes for successful competition and performance in all sports. Click link to apply. Virginia: The University of Virginia Football S&C Department is looking to hire volunteer interns for Winter 2024. The Football S&C Intern contributes to the successful development and execution of the Football S&C program, as well as assists student athletes to achieve their goals. They participate in the planning, design, and implementation of an effective strategy to maximize the physical capabilities and athletic performance of team members. They are educated on how to analyze individual player needs, provide instruction on proper techniques, and achieve established targets, maintain weight rooms and equipment, adhere to compliance requirements, and support sports program needs. They perform their work under the direct supervision of the Football S&C Coaching staff. Job Description: Develop knowledge as a strength and conditioning coach through completion of an education program; Assist S&C staff with training execution; Establish and cultivate strong relationships with student athletes to educate, support, and motivate them to attain their team and individual strength and conditioning targets; Maintain the inventory and quality of equipment in weight rooms. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Working towards or possess a Bachelor’s degree. Some experience in strength and conditioning or sports at any level is required. Interest in earning certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCC) is required. Lamar (FCS - TX): Lamar University is seeking applicants for a Football Strength & Conditioning Graduate Assistant position with an expected start date of January 2024. The Graduate Assistant will only work with the football program. Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in an Exercise Science related field and a strong desire to pursue an Athletic Performance career. Preferred experience as a collegiate athlete, or no less than one academic year of undergraduate/postgraduate internship experience coaching weightlifting at the collegiate level. Must have completed CSCS through the NSCA. Candidate must meet admission requirements of a chosen degree.
