Central Methodist:Central Methodist University Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant (GA) position. This is a full-time, twelve-month position which will begin as soon as January 7, 2019 but flexible on the time table. Compensation will include full tuition waiver, stipend and optional housing, gear and recommendations for future career opportunities. This position is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Central Methodist University, the Heart of America Athletic Conference, and the NAIA. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for all Central Methodist University sports as directed by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, programming for appointed sports, set up and break down for daily training, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facility. Required qualifications include but not limited to; strong work ethic, a high level of personal integrity, knowledge and commitment to the NAIA rules and regulations, completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related field of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional in the collegiate or professional setting. All applicants should have, or be working towards an accredited Strength & Conditioning certification (CSCS or SCCC), as well as CPR & AED certification. Other preferred qualifications include previous coaching in a collegiate setting and personal involvement in a collegiate sport, as well as proficiency with MS Word and Excel. Florida State: Florida State Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for interns for WINTER/SPRING 2019. This is a volunteer, UNPAID, position and offers Division I experience and training in an educational environment and the opportunity for future recommendations or opportunities in the field of strength and conditioning. Responsibilities will include: assist the Football Strength and Conditioning staff in the training of the Florida State University’s Division I football program; assist with daily administrative and maintenance duties; assist in the set-up and break-down of equipment for every workout; spotting athletes; and participate in weekly projects and assignments for the duration of the internship. The internship would start date would be in January and end in April. Minimum Qualifications: must have a strong work-ethic, enthusiasm and a desire to develop the characteristics necessary to become a successful strength and conditioning coach. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and pursuing CSCS or relevant certification from one of the following: NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW and CPR –First Aid certification. University of Louisiana Monroe: ULM has an opening for Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. The individual will coordinate the strength and conditioning program for teams assigned & assist with football. The appointee will be responsible for designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs, including but not limited to Women’s Tennis, Cross Country, Beach & Indoor Volleyball. Other duties include assisting with the scheduling and daily upkeep of the facility along with the fueling/nutrition station. Experience at the collegiate level strongly preferred. Southeastern Oklahoma: Southeastern Oklahoma is looking to hire a director of sports performance. The Director of Sports Performance works under the direction of the Director of Athletics and with each Head Coach of the University’s Athletic programs to instruct, educate

Southern Illinois-Edwardsville: SIUE Athletic Performance is seeking highly motivated, hardworking candidates for an Athletic Performance internship opportunity for the Spring 2019 semester, start date is January 14th. Duties will include assisting the athletic performance staff with all aspects of the athletic performance program as well as daily maintenance of the athletic performance facilities. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. This is an unpaid position; however, you will receive Division 1 experience with highly competitive programs that compete in the MAC and Ohio Valley Conference. You will gain experience using VX Sport GPS, EliteForm, Exxcentic Fly Wheel (kBox), Fusion Sport Timing System, among various other things.
