Missouri State: Missouri Southern State University Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for 2 GA positions starting Spring 2020. Tuition will be paid in full and a $500 monthly stipend will be included as well. This is a 10-month position starting in January that will continue if academic requirements are met for that year. The GA positions will be primarily responsible for football. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting with set up and break down for daily training, assisting with pre-practice/practice duties, meal checks, routine maintenance/cleaning of the training facilities, and completion of academic requirements. This is a hands-on GA position which you will have to coach and learn how to manage athletes on a daily basis. Required qualifications include a strong work ethic and completion of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or related course of study. Other preferred qualifications include previous experience involved in a collegiate sport, completion of either CSCS or CSCCA certification, or pursuing either certification. Tarleton State (FCS– Stephenville, TX): The Tarleton State University Athletic Performance Program is accepting internship applications for the Summer 2020 semester, with a starting date on or before June 1, 2020, and an end date of July 31, 2020. The internship hours may be countable toward the CSCCa’s Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified practicum requirements, and/or for college credit if needed. The volunteer internship will involve active experience in an NCAA Division I (TRANSITIONING TO DIVISION I FCS IN 2020-21) Athletic Performance program under the supervision of a 36-year veteran Master Strength and Conditioning Coach and his staff. Qualifications: Applicants should be pursuing strength and conditioning as a profession and possess, or currently be working on, CSCCa, NSCA, or USAW certification. Compensation: This is an educational internship with no monetary compensation provided. However, opportunities for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning are possible for successful interns.
