East Tennessee State: East Tennessee State University Football Strength & Conditioning is looking for 2-3 hard working, enthusiastic volunteer interns who are confident, have a presence and are able to assist with coaching Division 1 Football Student- Athletes for the Fall 2018 Semester. The individuals chosen for this position must be able to begin August 1 st and work through November 30 th for the Fall internship. This is an UNPAID position, in which the successful candidates can receive academic credit if applicable, experience working with a Division 1 Strength & Conditioning program, and consideration for a recommendation for future employment in the strength and conditioning field throughout the country. Candidates must be completing or have completed a degree in Exercise Science or a related field, and have a current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification. The successful candidates should have a strong desire to not only pursue Strength and Conditioning Coaching as a career, but to also obtain Strength and Conditioning Coaching Certifications either from the CSCCa or the NSCA. A CSCCa 640-Hour Mentorship can be completed during this internship. Responsibilities will include assisting with team training sessions, professional development assignments, facility maintenance, and other tasks as designated by the Strength and Conditioning staff. Candidates should have competed in a varsity sport at the High School or Collegiate level to have a better understanding of what it takes to compete and train as an athlete. Houston Baptist: HBU’s Athletic Performance Staff is seeking Strength Coach Interns for the Fall 2018. We are looking for coaches who are highly motivated and passionate about training athletes in regards to physical preparation, injury reduction, and most of all character development. The Strength Coach Interns will be mentored in motivation strategies, on the job communication skills, periodization and programming, movement coaching, and professional development. There are 2 available unpaid internship positions for the Fall of 2018. The start date is negotiable and can be for the start of Fall preseason or the beginning of the semester. Applicants must be seeking to become a Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach or already be certified through the NSCA or CSCCA. Although there is no money to be earned, what you will gain is valuable experience and earn a chance to receive a recommendation for future employment in the field. This internship will not just be a protein shake stocking and bench wiping experience, there are plenty of opportunities for coaching experience and working with multiple sport teams on both the Olympic sports and Football. You will be getting hands on coaching experience at a Division 1 Level University.
