Tiffin: The Tiffin University Football Strength and Conditioning Department is looking to fill a Graduate Assistant Position starting June 1, 2020. This position includes a tuition waiver and monthly stipend. Successful candidates will work directly with football and will assist with all training sessions in compliance with NCAA rules. Position responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: programming and implementation of all strength and conditioning training, leading all conditioning and on-field activities, helping conduct any testing performed with our athletes, helping with general maintenance of the weight room and developing nutrition plans for our student-athletes. Minimum requirements include: a strong work ethic, punctuality, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Preferred qualifications (or actively working to acquire them) include: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field, SCCC, CSCS, or USAW certifications, and CPR/AED. Receiving of this position is predicated upon acceptance into a Tiffin University graduate school program. Robert Morris: Robert Morris University Football is currently seeking 2 qualified volunteer internship candidates for the 2020 Summer Term. The strength and conditioning program will run from May 18 th (date flexible) to August 21 st . This is an unpaid position however; it is acceptable to have a part-time job to assist with personal finances. Chosen candidates for the position should aspire to and will be on a continual performance based interview for our Apprenticeship positions in the 2020-2021 academic year. Apprentices are responsible for the design and implementation of a S&C program for one varsity team, assisting various other teams as well as have all costs related to the CSCCa-SCCC covered. Minimum Qualifications: Strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm and effective communication skills, Desire to become a strength and conditioning coach; Possess or will possess bachelor’s degree by end of August and certified CSCS by end of August. Wayne State College (D-II - NE): Wayne State College Strength and Conditioning is currently accepting applications for (1) GRADUATE ASSISTANT strength and conditioning coach. This position is viewed as the lead assistant for the department and will be programming for 2-4 teams as well as assisting with football. The position will assist with all levels of the strength and conditioning department, this includes administrative duties. Yale: Yale University Sports Performance is looking for candidates to fulfill internship positions for the Summer and Fall 2020 semesters. The internship is a comprehensive experience providing hands on education in the weight room, with a classroom component, including lectures on program design, theory, nutrition, athletic testing, and more. The internship will provide the opportunity to work hands on with the Football team that has just won the 2019 Ivy Championship and finished #17 in the nation. This is a rigorous internship with hours that would closely mimic that of a full time strength coach. The goal of this internship is to prepare individuals for full time positions upon completion. There is no monetary compensation for the internship, but there is the opportunity to use this internship as a site for the completion of College requirements. The internship is also an NSCA accredited continuing education site. You will receive 2 CEU's for participating in the internship. The ideal candidate will be a current college student, or one who has recently graduated. Preference will be given to those who are in Exercise Science, who have collegiate athletic experience, or prior weight room experience. Fresno State: Fresno State and Coach Ron McKeefery are looking for motivated academic/professional interns to work alongside our coaching staff in training 500+ student-athletes for the Summer 2020 (May 27-July 30). Our internship is not your typical experience. You will be hands on working with our athletes, participating in a 9 week curriculum, and completing projects/assignments that prepare you to be a better Strength & Conditioning Coach. You will learn not to just be a better Technician, but a better Manager and Entrepreneur as well. All things that will make you more marketable for future positions. Additionally, our internship is competitive with the top four being selected as CSCCA Practicum Fellows at the end of the Summer Semester. This to include but not limited to: Practicum Fee, Conference Fee, Food & Travel for the 2021 CSCCA Conference.
