Austin Peay: The Austin Peay Sports Performance Staff is currently accepting applications for TWO graduate assistant positions that would begin on August 2nd, 2021. The graduate assistant coaches will assist with football as well as be responsible for 2-3 teams of their own. Requirements for this position: Must have a Bachelor's degree with a GPA of 3.0 or better, preferably in an exercise science related field. Must have a minimum GRE score of 140 verbal/140 quantitative/2.5 writing. Must be CPR/AED certified. Must have or be working towards a CSCS/SCCC/USAW certification. LA Tech: Louisiana Tech Football Strength and Conditioning is looking to fill 1-2 Strength and Conditioning Internship positions for May-August 2021. We are looking for individuals who want to be in the field of performance in collegiate athletics. There is no monetary compensation (stipend, housing, or food), a COVID vaccine will be required before your start date, and the days will be long for this position. We will provide staff education and in-services, hands-on Coaching, and possibly a Louisiana Tech Football T-Shirt. Candidates are recommended to be actively pursuing or have completed an Exercise Science related degree and becoming certified with their CSCS. Ottawa University (NAIA - KS): Ottawa University, Kansas (NAIA) currently seeks qualified candidates to fill its open Athletic Performance/Powerlifting Graduate Assistant Coaching position. The selected candidates will be granted tuition waiver (18 credit hours per year) for one of Ottawa University's graduate programs, a partial meal allowance and a bi-weekly living stipend (renewable for a second year as qualified). The successful candidate will assist the Director of Athletic Performance/Head Powerlifting Coach in various aspects of the program with responsibilities including coaching, training organization, practice organization and implementation, conditioning supervision, event management responsibilities, transportation, recruitment, equipment control and inventory, and academic monitoring and mentoring. Candidate should possess or be pursuing certifications through the CSCCa (SCCC), NSCA (CSCS) and/or USAPL. Powerlifting experience is highly recommended for this position. All qualified applicants should be fully dedicated to instilling the NAIA Champions of Character values into their coaching style and expectations of players both on and off the field. This position will begin Summer 2021.
