Southeastern University: The Southeastern University Athletic Performance Department is seeking two graduate assistant coaches for the upcoming academic year. This position has a start date June 1, 2020 and includes a tuition waiver along with a monthly stipend. The selected candidate will be responsible for: programming in and out of season training for assigned teams, managing nutrition education, body weight calculations, and testing for assigned teams. The graduate assistant coach will communicate directly with sport coaches and have the opportunity to prescribe training modifications in conjunction with the Sports Medicine Department. The SEU Athletic Performance Department is seeking individuals who are highly motivated to learn, have a strong work ethic, and can contribute to the staff in a multilingual way. Southeastern University is a private Christian university located in central Florida seeking 2 applicants for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. The mission of the SEU Athletic Department is to develop student-athletes holistically, physically, mentally, academically, and spiritually. As a department, we strive to foster character, servant leadership, and the development of life skills while providing a professional environment in athletics. SEU competes in 18 intercollegiate sports and is a member of the NAIA/Sun Conference. Football and Wrestling are members of the Mid South Conference. As a Christ-centered institution, the preferred candidate must display a Christian lifestyle and must be willing to incorporate his/her faith into the daily interaction with athletes, coaches, and colleagues. Consideration for a graduate assistant position is contingent upon acceptance into Southeastern University master’s program. The candidate will be required to maintain a 3.0 GPA or greater for the duration of the Graduate Assistantship. Belhaven (D-III – MS): Belhaven University, a Christ-centered liberal arts university in Jackson, Mississippi is seeking a graduate assistant coach for strength and conditioning starting in Fall 2020. This position (available beginning in August) is responsible for programing for multiple assigned sports as well as assistance with football. This position entails supervision, maintenance and general operation of the weight room and other duties assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning. Qualifications: (required) – statement of faith, bachelor’s degree, previous strength and conditioning experience or experience as a collegiate athlete, strong work ethic, & current CPR/AED certification. Currently possess or be working towards certification through NSCA or CSCCa. Bachelor’s degree and 2.5 GPA required to be admissible to desired graduate program if offered position. Compensation includes room & board OR stipend as well as a full tuition waiver.
