US Air Force Special Warfare: The United States Air Force 13 th ASOS at Fort Carson, CO is currently seeking full-time, UNPAID/volunteer Sport Science intern(s) for the Summer. Start/End dates are flexible. The 13 th ASOS is the Innovation Cell for the TACP Career Field. As such we are involved in research studies and place an emphasis on using technology as part of our Human Performance program. The successful candidate(s) will gain expertise integrating FirstBeat, Gymaware, Nordboard, Athos and Catapult results into the Smartabase system. Additionally the candidate will work in a High Performance Department with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Strength and Conditioning. Preference will be given to those with experience in research and using AMS. Minimum requirements: Must be pursuing career in Strength and Conditioning and/or Sport Science in Tactical, NCAA, Professional, High School or Olympic levels. Bachelor’s degree in related field. CSCS as well as current CPR & First Aid prior to June 15, 2021. Candidate must possess valid driver’s license to attain base access. Southeast Missouri State (FCS): Southeast Missouri State University has an opening for a Graduate Assistant Sports Performance Coach starting August 16, 2021. The GA will be work with a variety if teams assigned by the Director of Sports Performance including men’s or women’s basketball and potentially football. Previous experience with basketball is preferred. Applicants must be CPR, AED and First Aid certified, and must be certified through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) or National Strength and Conditional Association (CSCS) by start date. Valpo (FCS - IN): Valparaiso University Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for 3 Volunteer Interns for the Summer/Fall of 2021. This internship will begin IMMEDIATELY and will conclude at the end of the 2021 fall semester. Start and end dates are flexible. This is an unpaid position. Compensation will include gear, learning from an approved mentor via the CSCCa, potential to sit for the SCCC certification, and recommendations for future career opportunities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for teams, set up and break down for daily training, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, experience working with GPS software, and completion of a multi-faceted internship curriculum. Required qualifications include a strong work ethic, completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related field of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional in the collegiate or professional setting. All applicants should have, or be working towards an accredited certification (CSCS or SCCC). Other preferred qualifications include previous coaching in a collegiate setting and personal involvement in a collegiate sport. Applications will be taken until the positions are filled. Pittsburg State (D-II - KS): Pitt State is looking to hire a graduate assistant or paid intern strength coach. Pay and other benefits: $15.40/hrs 20hrs/Week, housing is provided. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and experience equivalent to: Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related degree required; previous experience in strength and conditioning preferred or related experience. Previous experience with nutrition. National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) certification HIGHLY preferred.
