Penn: University of Pennsylvania is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants for the 2017 Spring Semester. UPenn is a member of the Ivy League Conference. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of UPenn's 31 Division I intercollegiate athletic programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of various educational assignments during the internship are required. Qualifications include: strong work ethic; punctuality; enthusiasm; desire to further one’s career in the field of Strength & Conditioning. Preferred qualifications: pursuing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; NSCA-CPT, CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certifications; CPR certification and coaching experience. Individuals chosen for the position are subject to college/university background checks. This is a Volunteer/unpaid position. Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants will receive experience working at a Division I program, better understand program design, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Rutgers: Rutgers University is in need of volunteer interns to assist with the Football Strength and Conditioning Program. The positions begin immediately and will run until the first week of May. Exceptional Interns will be invited to remain with the program during the summer training months and potentially the 2017 Season. The duties include the set up/break down of lifts, maintenance of the training facility and assisting with the implementation of performance training for D-1 football athletes. Applicants MUST be hardworking, intelligent and willing to learn our system. There is NO monetary compensation for the position.
