Arkansas State: The Athletic Performance Staff at Arkansas State University is looking for hard working and unique individuals of varying backgrounds, experiences and talents to contribute to the athletic performance staff. Individuals will have the opportunity to work with Arkansas State’s Football team and the additional 13 Olympic sport programs. This internship will allow you to gain experience and use your talents in athletic performance, nutrition, sport psychology, sport performance technology, teaching, video, music, social-media and more while directly impacting the success of Arkansas State Athletics. You will gain first-hand knowledge from a staff proficient in areas such as; athletic performance, sport psychology, nutrition, exercise physiology, speed development, power lifting and Olympic lifting. Additionally, 1-2 meals will be provided per day with all you can eat/make PB&Js and unlimited protein shakes. Individuals will join a young energetic staff who creates a fun work environment. South Alabama: The University of South Alabama Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for 1 or 2 more football interns for Spring 2020. This position offers Division I experience, training and the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning. Responsibilities will include: assist the Football Strength and Conditioning staff in the supervision and training of the South Alabama football team; assist with daily cleaning and maintenance duties; assist in the set-up and break-down of equipment for every workout and spotting athletes. Minimum Qualifications: must be willing to embody The University of South Alabama Football’s Core Values 1)BE UNSELFISH 2) GET BETTER EVERYDAY 3) DO THE LITTLE THINGS RIGHT. Also a passion for the strength and conditioning field is a must. Robert Morris (FCS - PA): Robert Morris University is currently seeking TWO qualified volunteer internship candidates for the 2020 Spring Semester. The strength and conditioning program will run from January 6 th (date flexible) to May 1 st . This is an unpaid position however, it is acceptable to have a part-time job to assist with personal finances and cheap housing can be provided. Chosen candidates can also have the opportunity to complete internship hours required for the CSCCa – SCCC exam under the mentorship of the Head Strength Coach. The daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for Football program and 14 DI athletic teams, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities, Data input and upkeep, Professional development throughout the semester, any other tasks assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Interns will gain hands on coaching experience in a collegiate setting, education in program design and application, have the potential to earn future recommendations for career opportunities and receive college credit if applicable. The internship program’s goal is to advance the intern’s future in the strength and conditioning profession. Minimum Qualifications: Strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm and effective communication skills, Desire to become a strength and conditioning coach, First Aid, CPR & AED certified. Preferred Qualifications: Pursuing or have attained a bachelor’s or master’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology, exercise physiology or related field, Pursuing or have attained relevant certifications: SCCC, CSCS, USAW, etc., Previous coaching experience in a collegiate, professional, high school or private sector setting, Competitive collegiate athletic involvement. It is strongly advised that all potential candidates make sure that this internship is economically feasible before applying.
