Embry-Riddle (D-II - FL): Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking applications for UNPAID VOLUNTEER Strength and Conditioning Internship opportunities for the 2017 Spring semester. The position will assist with all sports. Preferred applicants must be highly motivated, have a tremendous work ethic, and be interested in becoming a Strength and Conditioning/Athletic Performance Coach in the collegiate setting. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the strength and conditioning staff in all aspects of program administration, working directly with student athletes to teach proper lifting technique, assess and document progress of the student athletes during training, and maintain a clean, sanitized weight room. As an intern within ERAU Strength and Conditioning, you will learn how to: teach proper lifting position and technique, research relevant training modalities, develop training programs, as well as completing any other tasks assigned by the Strength and Conditioning Staff. All applicants will be subject to a background check. Again this is an UNPAID VOLUNTEER position. Preferred Qualifications: a nationally accredited certification (SCCC,CSCS, USAW) and strength and conditioning experience in a collegiate setting. Interns MUST be CPR/AED certified.
