Buffalo: The University at Buffalo Football Strength and Conditioning Department is looking for 3-5 volunteer interns for the 2021 Spring Semester. All positions will be UNPAID. The successful candidates will assist with all daily duties as it pertains to Buffalo Football Strength and Conditioning including but not limited to: assisting with coaching, data tracking, data entry, fueling station management and any other duties as assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning, Matt Gildersleeve. Ottawa (NAIA - KS): Ottawa University Athletic Performance seeks highly motivated candidates for Graduate Student Assistant position to assist with implementation and supervision of Athletic Performance programs for all varsity sports. Primary responsibility will be assisting staff in all aspects of the Braves Athletic Performance program, implementing velocity-based training, and data tracking. With experience, candidates will be assigned up to two teams of their own. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field. This position is a two-year position with a 50% tuition waiver towards your graduate degree. There is no other compensation, but there will be opportunity for on campus jobs, or in the community. Adidas Team gear will be given when available. All hours can be counted towards CSCCa-SCCC approved internship hours under the mentorship of The Director of Athletic Performance. Successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills to teach/motivate a diverse population of student-athletes, interact with support staff and coaches. Candidate must be working toward certification from either the CSCCa-SCCC certification examination and/or NSCA-CSCS certification examination and have a current CPR and first aid certificate. Southern: Southern University is currently accepting applications for 1-2 VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT STRENGTH COACH INTERNS starting as soon as possible. This internship is designed to be the most hands on in the nation; responsibilities include assisting with Football, all Olympic Sports, and participating in the continuing education curriculum. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled. Position will provide on campus housing and meal plan. Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree, current CPR/AED/First Aid certifications, willingness to work a demanding and varying schedule, and effective leadership skills. Preferred qualifications include: Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant field, certifications from recognized organizations (NSCA, USAW, CSCCa, etc.), previous Strength & Conditioning coaching experience, and previous experience as a collegiate athlete.
