Mercer: Mercer University, a Division I FCS member of the Southern Conference, is currently accepting applications for Spring 2017 Strength & Conditioning internship positions. The start date is January 6th, 2017. These positions are UNPAID, if this is not an economically viable situation for you please do not apply. Duties will include assisting with all aspects of the Mercer University Football Strength program as well as work with other teams as assigned. Individuals chosen to join the Strength staff will be given the opportunity to COACH ON THE WEIGHTROOM FLOOR; this is not an observational position. Required qualifications include; Reliability, enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and the ability to volunteer a minimum of 25 hours per week. Preferred qualifications include; Bachelor’s degree, SCCC and/or CSCS certification, First Aid/CPR/AED, experience working with Strength & Conditioning programs at the collegiate level. Applicants should have a strong desire to pursue a career as a full time, collegiate strength & conditioning coach. The Strength staff can provide assistance for outside employment and low cost housing.
