Appalachian State: Appalachian State University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach working exclusively with Olympic Sports (this is a non-football position). This is a 12‑month full‑time appointment. The position will assist the Assistant Athletics Director for Athletic Performance in the oversight of the Strength and Conditioning program for 20 Division I athletic programs. Applicants MUST have collegiate S&C coaching experience, be CPR/AED/first aid certified, and possess CSCS or CSCCa certification. All interested applicants must apply via this link. Northern Michigan: Northern Michigan University, a Division I member of the WCHA and Division II member of the GLIAC conference, is currently accepting applications for one Spring 2017 Strength & Conditioning internship position. The start date is January 10th, 2017. This position is UNPAID, if this is not an economically viable situation for you please do not apply. With this said, if selected, HOUSING and a job close to campus can be provided. Duties will include assisting with all aspects of the strength and conditioning program as well as work with teams that may be assigned. Individuals chosen to join the Strength staff will be given the opportunity to COACH ON THE WEIGHTROOM FLOOR; this is not an observational position. Required qualifications include; Reliability, enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and the ability to volunteer a minimum of 15 hours per week. Preferred qualifications include; Bachelor’s degree, SCCC and/or CSCS certification, First Aid/CPR/AED, experience working with Strength & Conditioning programs at the collegiate level.
