Troy: Troy University Football Strength and Conditioning is currently seeking undergrad and graduate student interns for the summer of 2017. This is an UNPAID position, but applicants will receive Division 1 college experience. Applicants should have or be working towards, a BS or Masters in an Exercise Science or Nutrition related field. Completion of this internship can fulfill potential credit hours towards a program degree and offer an opportunity for advancement in the field of sport performance, strength and conditioning or nutrition. This position is responsible for assisting the football strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of the summer program, set up and break down of all workouts, upkeep of the weight room, nutrition and hands-on experience training collegiate athletes. Delaware: We are excited to announce 4-5 volunteer internships opportunities for this summer (Football - 3-4 positions - beginning June 1, 2017; Basketball – 1-2 positions - beginning July 11) as a part of the Strength and Conditioning Program under the umbrella of the Health, Well-Being, and Sport Performance Team/Program. The Strength &Conditioning Intern at the University of Delaware is a valued member of our unique and innovative multidisciplinary sports performance health care team, upholding and embracing the departmental mission of “Inspiring Greatness Together.” We are looking for dynamic individuals to take on these roles and help enhance our program while also learning more about the inner workings of a well-rounded multidisciplinary sport performance program. Interns will have the opportunity to work with both men’s and women’s athletic teams. They will also be involved in staff and professional development with the Strength & Conditioning Staff. We are looking for ambitious individuals who are, in turn, looking for a fulfilling and comprehensive learning experience. Selected interns may work with both sports programs if scheduling permits. Interns who show a great level of value may be asked to stay on for fall preseason camp and/or the fall 2017 semester. Menlo College (NAIA - CA): Menlo College Sports Performance Department is accepting applications for the FALL of 2017 intern position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Sports Performance staff with the implementation of sport specific injury prevention, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility, and conditioning program. Benefits include: Meal plan, work and athletic apparel, CEU’s, Networking & educational trips and small stipend. Once training is complete you will be assigned 2-3 teams for which you will design and implement programs. Potential Candidates: Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least one of the following certifications must be in progress: CSCS, SCCC, USAW. Candidates must possess an enthusiastic spirit, strong character, demonstrate effective organization and communication skills and must have a strong willingness to learn and must be a self-starter.
