Cal Berkeley: University of California Berkeleys Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting 3 applications for Volunteer Interns for the Summer of 2021. We are looking to fill positions immediately, the internship will conclude at the end of August 2021.This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for Football, set up and break down for daily training, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, and completion of the internship curriculum. Required qualifications include a STRONG work ethic, completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study. All applicants should have, or be working towards an accredited certification (CSCS or SCCC). Other preferred qualifications include previous coaching experience in the private sector or a collegiate setting and personal involvement in a collegiate competitive sport. Kentucky Christian: Kentucky Christian University's Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for 1-2 Strength and Conditioning Intern Coach for the Fall Semester of 2021. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for Football and all Olympic Sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities. Candidates will have the opportunity to program, implement, and supervise a strength and conditioning program for some assigned sports. HOUSING AND MEALS WILL BE PROVIDED. No monetary compensation will be provided. However, there will be opportunity to advance within the department. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework for an undergraduate degree in exercise science or related field of study. Certification from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW) are preferred. Position will start no later than August 3rd. Hampton (FCS - VA): Hampton University is looking to hire a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Football only. This is a full-time position with benefits. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree, NSCA-CSCS or CSCCa-SCCC certification, CPR/AED/First Aid certified and experience in collegiate strength and conditioning. Saint Francis (FCS - PA): The Saint Francis University Strength and Conditioning department is seeking highly motivated internship candidates for Summer 2021. This Internship has the start date of July 5th. This is a volunteer position, no monetary, housing, or transportation assistance will be provided. If this is not an economically feasible option, please do not apply. However, interns will gain valuable experience, earn recommendation for future career opportunities. Strength and Conditioning Interns will assist the Strength and Conditioning staff in all daily operations. REQUIRED qualifications include: currently working toward or have completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Exercise Science or related field; working toward certification through the CSCCa (SCCC) or NSCA (CSCS); First Aid, CPR, and AED Certified; the ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week; strong work ethic, high energy, attention to detail, and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. DESIRED qualifications include: Certification through NSCA or CSCCa; previous collegiate/professional strength and conditioning experience or collegiate athletic experience. Fresno State: Fresno State University is looking to fill two Director of Strength and Conditioning Positions. One for Football and one for Basketball.
