Miami (OH): Miami University has an opening for an assistant strength and conditioning coach position. Interested applicants must apply online through Miami's HR website via this link.

Oregon: Jim Radcliffe, who has been at Oregon since 1985 and is going into his 30th year as a head strength coach, has signed a new contract that adds an additional year to his deal and will pay him a base salary of $207,000. Radcliffe is eligible for a bonus of $25,000 for a bowl win.

California San Diego: The University of California San Diego Athletic Performance Department is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill their internship positions working in Olympic Sports. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. Individuals will also have the opportunity to work with all the Olympic sports training out of the new 12,000 square foot Alex G. Spanos Athletic Performance facility. The candidate must currently hold minimum or be working towards a degree in Exercise Science or related field and must hold a strong desire in becoming a colligate sports performance coach. Internship is expected to run from September 12- December 9, 2016 with possibility of extension for Spring Semester. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting staff in the design and implementation of sports performance programs including holding coaching responsibilities, set up and breakdown of training equipment; as well as assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility, and ongoing professional development through the internship curriculum. Preferred Qualifications: Strong work ethic, and highly motivated. Experience working in a Strength & Conditioning or Sports Performance environment; currently hold or working towards a nationally-accredited strength & conditioning certification (SCCC, CSCS, USAW, etc.) Compensation: This is a non-paid volunteer position. Loyola University Maryland: Loyola University Maryland is looking to fill a VOLUNTEER INTERN position, no monetary compensation will be provided. Candidates can use this experience working towards class credit at their respective university or to gain further hands on training in the field of collegiate strength and conditioning. The position will require no more than 20 hours a week. The Internship is set to being Tuesday September 7th and carry on as long as the end of the Fall Semester. The accepted applicant will gain experience working at the Division I collegiate level, specifically Men’s and Women’s Basketball. Position responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: setting up and breaking down of equipment for training sessions, running training sessions and programming for teams (if they’re certified) assisting with routine maintenance of training facilities, and participation in projects and assignments throughout the duration of the Internship. Applicants must be certified or working toward certification with the CSCCa (SCCC) or the NSCA (CSCS) and have current CPR/AED certification. The candidate must be able to teach and perform Olympic based lifts and squats, possess strong communication skills, motivational skills, and must have a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning professional at the collegiate or professional level.
