ECU: East Carolina University Strength and Conditioning is currently accepting applications for unpaid/volunteer internship positions for this upcoming Fall Semester to work with Football and Olympic Sports. This position offers the experience of working with a Division 1 Strength & Conditioning program, with the guidance under a CSCCa approved mentor. This internship will allow you to gain experience, have fun and use your talents in athletic performance, you will gain first-hand knowledge from a staff proficient in areas such as: athletic performance, sport psychology, exercise physiology, speed development, power lifting, and Olympic lifting. Qualifications: Candidates MUST be enrolled in an institution of higher education or have completed class credits. Candidates must possess or be working toward a certification through the CSCCa and/or NSCA. a. A CSCCa 640-Hour Mentorship can be completed during this internship. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Candidates must have a current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification. Candidates must have solid work ethic and attention to detail. Candidates must be available for hours of operation with their designated teams and/or designated by the Director of S+C. Candidates must have a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Responsibilities will include assisting with team training sessions, professional development assignments, facility maintenance, and other tasks as designated by the Strength and Conditioning staff. Nicholls State (FCS - LA): Nicholls State is looking to hire a professional intern to start the fall semester. This is a 10 month, paid position. Responsibilities for the Professional Intern position will include designing and implementing a strength and conditioning program for all assigned teams and assist with implementation of training programs for all athletic teams. Programs will include, but are not limited to, strength/power, conditioning, speed, and agility training exercises. This position will require constant communication with the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, head coaches for assigned teams, and the athletic training staff. Other responsibilities include daily maintenance and upkeep of the facility, updating social media sites, and completion of any other duties assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. This is a 10 Month paid position. Pay will be to the amount of $10,000 with housing provided. REQUIREMENTS – BS in Exercise Science or Related Field, NSCA-CSCS or CSCCA-SCCC Certification, CPR/AED Certified.
