Northwestern: The Northwestern University Football Sports Performance department is currently accepting internship applications for the 2017 Winter Quarter. This internship will meet the requirements needed to sit for the CSCCa (Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified) certification examination. Duties will include, assisting with daily operations & facility maintenance, managing various football performance data base programs as well as the completion of various educational assignments. Interns will receive experience working in a Division I environment with the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Qualifications: Must possess or be currently working toward a certification through the SCCCa, NSCA and / or USAW. Compensation: The position offers the opportunity for eligible candidates to have CSCCa examinations fees paid for upon the successful completion of the internship. No other monetary compensation will be provided. Moravian: Moravian College is currently accepting applications for a volunteer Strength and Conditioning intern position for Winter/Spring 2017. Start date will be second week in January and will go till the end of April. QUALIFICAITONS: Must be enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor’s degree program; must have CPR/AED/First Aid certification. PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS: CSCS and/or SCCC certification; Experience competing in intercollegiate athletes or experience working in a collegiate strength and conditioning facility. Strong computer skills (Excel/Word). This is an UNPAID POSITION. However, volunteers will gain valuable experience in the field of strength and conditioning, lead/command teams through their training sessions, have a better understanding of program design, working as a team with Athletic Trainers, & nutrition. Georgia Southern: Georgia Southern University Strength & Conditioning is currently seeking applicants for 2 VOLUNTEER internship positions for the Spring 2017 semester. These are unpaid positions. This internship will last from January 16 – April 28. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters degree in exercise science or a related field and a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coach. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience as a collegiate athlete and currently pursuing or possessing NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa certification(s).
