Arizona: The University of Arizona Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for Volunteer Interns for the Fall of 2019. This internship has begun but is still accepting more applications, this internship will conclude at the end of the 2019-2020 season. This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for the University of Arizona Football team and potentially other University Athletic Programs, set up and break down for daily training, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, and completion of the internship curriculum. Required qualifications include a strong work ethic, completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional in the collegiate or professional setting. All applicants should have, or be working towards an accredited certification (CSCS or SCCC). Other preferred qualifications include previous coaching in a collegiate setting and personal involvement in a collegiate competitive sport. Applications will be taken until the positions are filled. UT Chattanooga: The UT Chattanooga Athletic Performance staff is looking for qualified, hard working and driven candidates to fill internship positions immediately. The internship is an in-depth Collegiate Strength & Conditioning experience with Master Strength & Conditioning Coach and CSCCa President/Co-Founder, Ethan Reeve, that will provide an intensive hands on education in the weight room, with a classroom component geared toward prepping for the CSCCa Certification. Candidates will also gain the required 640hrs under a Master Strength & Conditioning Coach for the CSCCa Certification. This internship will provide the opportunity to work hands on with Football, Wrestling, Soccer, Track, Tennis and many other teams. The goal of this internship is to mentor young coaches and help them gain graduate assistant or full time positions upon completion. There is no monetary compensation or housing provided for this internship but candidates will receive some athletic gear to wear and valuable experience in Collegiate Strength & Conditioning. Preferred candidates should possess or be working towards an Exercise Science, Kinesiology or Physical Education related degree. A CSCS, USAW or CSCCa certification is preferred but not required.
