Syracuse: Syracuse University Athletic Performance for Football Volunteer Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach Job Posting Syracuse University Department of Athletic Performance for Football is accepting applications for a VOLUNTEER Intern Strength and Conditioning coach position for the Summer 2021 semester. This is an UNPAID volunteer position, but academic credits can be applied towards an Exercise Science or related degree program if applicable. The main responsibilities of this position will include: involvement in the supervision of safety during training sessions, assisting with daily administrative, maintenance items, and operations for Football. This position will provide: valuable practical experience working with Division 1 collegiate football student-athletes and coaches, an extensive professional development program, CSCS / SCCC prep, and multiple opportunities to expand network connections within the profession. Qualifications: Seeking a college degree or completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and current CPR certification. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in an exercise related field and CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification. Evidence of project completion, consistent attention to detail, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment will be highly considered. All employees must comply fully with all NCAA, ACC (or other conference) and Syracuse University rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. William & Mary (FCS): The College of William & Mary located in Williamsburg, Virginia is looking to hire a paid sports performance Intern: You will be responsible for the development of 2-3 Olympic Sports and assist with Football. McNeese State (LA): McNeese State University is seeking applicants for a Graduate Assistant position with an expected start date immediately. Duties include assisting Director of Strength & Conditioning in all aspects of the program including but not limited to team warm-ups, strength and speed training, conditioning, mobility, athlete assessments, among other duties. Candidate must be knowledgeable and comply with University, Southland Conference and NCAA Division 1 rules and regulations. Must be able to work cooperatively with other department personnel and demonstrate awareness for health, safety and welfare of all student athletes. Minimum requirements include Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science related field and a strong desire to pursue a career in the profession. Candidate MUST be certified through either the NSCA (CSCS) or CSCCa (SCCC). Candidate must also meet admission requirements through McNeese State Universities Graduate program. This position pays $12,000 stipend as well as a full tuition waiver. VCU: The Virginia Commonwealth men's basketball strength and conditioning staff are seeking one (1) UNPAID internship for the 2021-22 season (1 year). The qualified candidate would work exclusively with the VCU men's basketball team. Duties include, but are not limited to: -set up and take down before and every lift -clean and maintain weight room and equipment -assist head strength and conditioning coach during training sessions -provide nutritional assistance to players The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to learn from a Master Strength coach and earn internship hours to allow them to take the SCCC certification through the CSCCa. Upon the conclusion of the internship, the qualified candidate will have the opportunity to apply to the Center for Sport Leadership Masters program at VCU while becoming the Graduate Assistant of Strength and Conditioning for men's basketball. Minimum requirements are a Bachelors's degree in a related field, working towards or attained CSCS or SCCC certification through the NSCA or CSCCa, working towards or certified in First Aid/CPR/AED. A qualified candidate must have a desire to become a collegiate strength and conditioning coach.
