Texas State: The Texas State University Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for 2 UNPAID interns for Summer 2020. The selected candidates will begin around the last week of May, as our team workouts begin June 1. This position is unpaid but offers the opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning through earned future recommendations, and will allow the chosen individuals to study under a CSCCa approved mentor. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with the supervision of the Texas State Football team, set up and breakdown for daily strength and conditioning activities, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, as well as the opportunity to gain hands on coaching experience. Prerequisites include working toward, or completion of a Bachelors’ Degree, and working toward NSCA or CSCCA certification. Georgia State: Georgia State University Men’s Basketball Strength and Conditioning is currently looking for volunteer interns for the Summer June 6th-August 1st. Deadline to Apply: April 2, 2020 Responsibilities: Assist in the facilitation and implementation of all facets of the athletic performance training program for Men’s Basketball. Assist in daily maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of training facility, active participation in staff in-service meetings and completion of various assignments throughout the internship period qualifications, strong desire to pursue a career in the Athletic Performance/Strength and Conditioning Field, Bachelor’s degree or entering senior year of undergraduate course work (Preferred background in exercise science, exercise physiology, or similar field).Successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills to teach/motivate a diverse population of student-athletes, interact with support staff and coaches. College credit available towards graduation available if applicable · CSCCa SCCC or NSCA CSCS Certification (or pursuing certification), Collegiate athletic experience preferred. Previous experience within a collegiate strength and conditioning setting preferred. Tusculum: Tusculum University is looking for a strength and conditioning graduate assistant. This position would offer housing, meal plan, and tuition (Tuition would start in the fall). The selected candidate would be expected to train 4 teams, and also assist with football.
