Virginia Tech: Virginia Tech Football Strength and Conditioning is currently accepting applications for two VOLUNTEER Strength and Conditioning interns for the 2019 Summer Program. These are UNPAID internship positions. Qualified candidates will work directly with the Football Strength and Conditioning Department. These UNPAID internship positions will be responsible for assisting the Virginia Tech Strength Staff with the implementation of the Summer Program, set-up and break down of all training sessions, facility and equipment maintenance, experience in a collegiate football setting, experience using our GPS system, as well as weekly professional development assignments and meetings. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and possess a strong work ethic. Having participated in Collegiate Athletics is preferred. Start date will be the beginning of May 2019-July 2019. Washington: The University of Washington Football Strength and Conditioning staff is looking for unpaid volunteer interns for the Winter and Spring quarters of 2019. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated and working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Candidates must be CPR/AED certified and possess or currently working towards certification through the USAW, NSCA, or CSCCa. The internship will include set up and take down of the weight room, daily cleaning and maintenance, completion of a comprehensive educational curriculum, hands on experience, and any other duties assigned by the strength and conditioning staff. Louisiana Tech: Louisiana Tech University is currently accepting applications for Paid Strength & Conditioning Intern. Required qualifications include master’s degree, current CPR/AED certification, and CSCS or SCCC. This paid internship is expected to begin Feb. 15th 2019 and will extend until May 1st . 2020. This is a $1000 a month paid internship, no benefits and no moving cost. During this time period, interns will get experience working with the FBS Baseball and Softball programs. You will have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities. FAU: Florida Atlantic Owls Strength and Conditioning is currently accepting applications for volunteer Summer internship positions. Report date is expected to be May 26th and will run through August 1st. These are UNPAID POSITIONS. Candidates should have, or be working towards, a BA/BS and current CPR/AED certification. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have a strong desire to pursue collegiate strength and conditioning. Candidates will have opportunities to work with Football and with other Olympic Sports if desired and complete weekly assignments as part of the internship curriculum.
