UCF: The University of Central Florida Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now seeking applications for UNPAID qualified Strength and Conditioning Interns for the Summer of 2018. This is an UNPAID position that is responsible for assisting the UCF Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of the summer training program, set up and break down of workouts, maintenance/upkeep of the weight room and nutrition station. This internship also provides an educational curriculum for professional development in the field of Strength and Conditioning and Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities. Applicants should be working toward a degree in Exercise Science, or hold an undergraduate degree in the respective field, CSCS or CSCCa certifications, CPR/AED and experience participating in Collegiate Football/Athletics. Harvard: Harvard Strength and Conditioning is accepting applications for the Summer 2018 internship. This is a volunteer, UNPAID, position and offers Division I experience with 42 varsity sports and training in an educational environment as well as an opportunity for future recommendations or opportunities in the field of strength and conditioning. Responsibilities will include: assist the Strength and Conditioning staff in the training of the Harvard University sports programs; assist with daily administrative, and maintenance duties; assist in the set-up and break-down of equipment for every workout; spotting athletes and participate in weekly projects and assignments for the duration of the internship. Minimum Qualifications: must have a strong work-ethic, enthusiasm and a desire to develop the characteristics necessary to become a successful strength and conditioning coach. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and pursuing CSCS or relevant certification from one of the following: CSCS; SCCC; USAW and CPR –First Aid certification. Candidates must email a letter of application, resume and the names and contact information of three references to Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning Coach Jake Niedermann at Please write “Summer 2018 Summer Internship Application” in the subject line.

Kennesaw State: Kennesaw State Football S&C is looking to hire 3-5 Interns for Summer 2018. This is an UNPAID position. Job requirements include a strong desire to become a strength & conditioning coach, and previous experience is preferred. Responsibilities will include COACHING student athletes, facility preparation & maintenance, and completion/involvement in staff development. Carleton College and St. Olaf (D-III - MN): Dual Internship with Carleton College and St. Olaf College. This internship involves working for two colleges that are less than two miles apart located in Northfield, MN. A great opportunity to learn from two coaches and expand your network. Candidates will have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. This internship which will start on March 26 and end May 30th, will entail working at one college in the mornings and the other in the afternoons, based on scheduling and needs. This internship will include assignments designed to further your knowledge and understanding of the profession, programming, implementation and coaching. This internship will include learning and networking site visits. This is a non-paid position. Qualifications: Currently pursuing or completed bachelors in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, and a strong desire to become a Collegiate level Strength and Conditioning Coach.
