New Mexico:University of New Mexico Football athletic performance is currently accepting applications for the SPRING 2020 volunteer internship positions. These are positions for the SPRING 2020 training session, JAN 21st - MAY 8th, with the opportunity to stay longer. Qualified candidates would work with all facets of a NCAA Division 1 FBS FOOTBALL athletic performance program.This is an UNPAID position. However, the position offers the opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning, as well as the fulfillment of credit hours towards a degree program. The position is responsible for assisting FOOTBALL athletic performance staff with the implementation of the program, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility, and hands-on experience training collegiate athletes. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and possess a strong work ethic. Preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body (USAW, CSCS, CSCCa), previous coaching experience and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements. UNLV: The University of Nevada Las Vegas Football Performance department is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Volunteer Interns (4) for the Winter/Spring Semester 2020 (January 14th – May 8, 2020). Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs specific to football, proper movement preparation, development and execution of speed & conditioning protocols, execution of proper motivational techniques, and most importantly developing an understanding of the health, safety, and wellness of collegiate athletes. Compensation: Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED. Qualifications: Certification from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCa, SCCC; USAW) are preferred. Mentorship hours available for those candidates who are selected for SCCC certification and individuals must complete the requirements set forth by the CSCCa. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or be in their last semester of coursework for an undergraduate degree in exercise science or related field of study to qualify. Expectations: We are very selective in looking for special individuals to have around our players and staff. This position is designed to give you a TRUE experience in what it takes to be a collegiate strength coach at the division 1 level specific to football. Millsaps College (D-III - MS): Millsaps College’s Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for a FULL TIME ASSISTANT Strength and Conditioning Coach. The candidate will report to the Director of Strength and Conditioning and have a major role in the development of the Football program. Compensation for this position will be $600/ monthly stipend over the Spring Semester, but WILL ALSO INCLUDE free housing and meals. Ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, certified through either NSCA or CSCCa, and also experience working with baseball and other Olympic sports. Expected start date will be January 20th. Coastal Carolina: Former Clemson player and grad assistant Adrien Dunn is now an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Coastal Carolina.

Colquitt County (GA): Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Ga., is looking for a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Responsibilities Football Program and all other male and female sports. You will not have to coach a position in football just assist with flex and conditioning. Colquitt County has been playing football for over 100 years and the Packer Football Program remains stronger than ever. With 3 State Championships 1994, 2014, 2015, along with claiming a National Championship in 2015 with the back to back State Championship titles of 2014 and 2015 (30-0 record), the Colquitt County Packers have become a nationally recognized High School Football powerhouse. Candidates will have the opportunity to design and implement programs for some assigned sports based on experience. Daily responsibilities will also include assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for Football and some Olympic Sports, weekly upkeep of the weightroom, and participation in weekly projects for professional development throughout the internship.
