Wisconsin: In what seems to be an emerging trend, another strength coach is getting the opportunity to realize a dream by becoming an on-field coach.

USC: Robert Stiner has been announced as the director of football sports performance. Stiner was an assistant director of football strength and conditioning at Notre Dame for the past three seasons.

Baylor: Baylor University is seeking paid intern positions. Under supervision of the Director of Athletic Performance - Football, this position will assist the Athletics Performance – Football staff in preparation of fitness testing, computation of results, and evaluation of data related to individual athletes with strength staff. Assist in spotting exercises when necessary. Assist in general maintenance, cleaning of the facility and its equipment. Anticipate potential risks of injury, take measures to remove them, and in the event of an injury, have the ability to implement emergency medical procedures. Assist the Athletics Performance - Football staff with tasks for which he or she is responsible and manage general operation of the facility in the absence of the Director of Athletic Performance - Football. Keep updated on strength and conditioning research. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director. Must have or be working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field. New Hampshire: The University of New Hampshire’s Strength & Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. The primary responsibilities of the position will be to assist the Director of Strength and Conditioning with Football, create, organize, and implement strength and conditioning programs for Lacrosse, Volleyball and M/W Track and Field. Secondary responsibilities will include assisting the Director of Strength and Conditioning with the supervision and execution of the training programs for various sports, attending to daily maintenance of the training facility and administrative tasks. Qualifications: SCCC / CSCS Certification and CPR/AED/First Aid, with USAW preferred; Bachelor’s degree required in an Exercise Science related field; Master’s degree preferred; Collegiate coaching experience; Collegiate playing experience preferred. Applicants must be an energetic, enthusiastic and a self-starter who is highly motivated to push athletes to excel. Start Date: February 1, 2021.Salary: 24,000 no benefits.
