Minnesota: The University of Minnesota Athletic Performance Department is seeking highly motivated applicants to fill Summer 2020 (May - August) Sports Science Internship positions. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. Qualified candidates will work directly with Men’s and Women’s Hockey. This internship can be used for course credits. Daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Download/Analyze Catapult and Polar Team 2 data from practices/games/training sessions Conduct/Analyze Tensiomyography and Omegawave tests Download/Analyze Force Plate, MUSCLELAB, EMG, Moxy, 1080 Sprint and Quantum data Professional development, including various educational assignments during the internship Assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs Assisting with daily operations and facility/equipment maintenance Responsibilities will be assigned as they are earned. Interested applicants must exhibit effective communication skills, positive energy, attention to detail, sense of urgency and strong work ethic. QUALIFICATIONS: Currently pursuing Bachelors/Masters in Exercise Science or related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach and pursuing CSCCa or NSCA certification(s), and proficient in technology. COMPENSATION: This is an un-paid volunteer position. Interns will have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities. Nicholls State: The Nicholls State University Strength & Conditioning Department has IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for NON-PAID/VOLUNTEER internship positions. There are multiple positions available assisting directly with FOOTBALL only and OLYMPIC sports as desired. Successful applicants must not only have the desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, but also possess a relentless work ethic and positive attitude. This is a coaching intensive internship with the opportunity for a lot of practical and hands on experience. The interns will be required to complete assigned readings, programming projects, and on floor coaching throughout the duration of the internship. Applicants must also be willing to work early mornings and late nights during the week and weekends. Applicants should be working towards completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Applicants should also be working towards or possess certifications through either CSCCa (SCCC) or NSCA (CSCS). Charleston Southern: Brandon Gilbert has been named director of football strength and conditioning after previously serving as an assistant director of football strength and conditioning at Coastal Carolina.

Illinois College (D-III - IL): Illinois College, a private co-ed liberal arts college in Jacksonville, Illinois, is seeking applications for a restricted earnings coach. This coach will serve as the football S&C Coordinator and coach a position that best fits the staff. The position is a 10 month, $7,000, no housing or benefits included, however an inexpensive housing option is available. Candidates must have a CSCS certification and a bachelor's degree is required.
