Tulsa: The University of Tulsa Athletic Performance Staff is currently accepting applications for TWO (2) paid OLYMPIC SPORT intern positions for the 2021 spring semester. Qualified candidates will work directly with the athletic performance staff beginning IMMEDIATELY and ending June 2021. We are looking for eager and enthusiastic individuals with a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning at the collegiate level. Responsibilities: include but are not limited to assisting the athletic performance staff with the set-up, breakdown, design, and implementation of all training sessions; daily upkeep and maintenance of weight room equipment; assist with daily administrative tasks and any other duties assigned by the intern coordinator. Qualifications: Will have obtained or be working towards a degree in Exercise Science or a related field, as well as possess CSCS certification from the NSCA and/or their SCCC certification from the CSCCa. CPR/AED certification is mandatory, and all qualified candidates must be able to pass a background check. Qualified candidates will receive hands-on experience working in a Division I athletic performance program, participate in continuing education sessions to build their knowledge in performance and nutrition, and have the opportunity to build and establish professional relationships for future employment recommendations. Southern Illinois: SIUE Athletic Performance (located outside St. Louis) is seeking highly motivated, hardworking candidates for an Athletic Performance internship opportunity for the SUMMER 2021 semester, start date is June 1 st . This is an unpaid position; however, you will receive Division 1 experience with highly competitive programs that compete in the MAC and OVC. For more details click the link. Preferred qualifications of interested candidates are: working towards attaining a bachelor’s degree and as well as one of the following certifications: CSCS, SCCC or USAW and First Aid/CPR certified. Colorado: Former Stanford strength coach Shannon Turley has agreed to become the new head strength coach at Colorado, per multiple reports.

Southern Illinois: Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE): SIUE is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Graduate Assistant Athletic Performance Coach. Candidates must have a great work ethic, strong communication skills, and be passionate about continually progressing as a strength and conditioning professional. The position requires certification in First Aid and CPR, and progress towards CSCS and or SCCC. Preference will be given to applicants that have already obtained at least one of the aforementioned certifications. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the Director in the design and implementation of training programs; meeting with sport coaches and athletic trainers to collaborate on program design and modifications; weight room supervision; daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment; and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletic Performance. The Graduate Assistant position is a two-year assignment beginning with the FALL of the 2021- 2022 academic year and includes a tuition waiver for graduate credit hours and a monthly stipend. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2021.
