Army: Brian Hess has been announced as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.

South Florida: The South Florida Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Interns for the FALL 2016 semester. The successful candidates will be working with football and a variety of Olympic sports. Compensation: Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities. No monetary compensation will be provided. Must have a strong work-ethic and a desire to become a strength and conditioning coach. West Liberty (D-II): The West Liberty University Strength and Conditioning department is currently accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning/Track Coach. Located in West Liberty, WV, West Liberty is a member of the Mountain East Conference and participates in 16 NCAA Division 2 athletic programs. Compensation for the position is a full graduate school waiver in the Education department and a room. Interested applicants must possess the desire and motivation to pursue a career in athletic strength and conditioning. Candidates must be able to communicate and work with a wide variety of athletes, coaches, and athletic trainers. Daily duties will be assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning. The position will also have limited track responsibilities as assigned by the track and field coach. Minimum qualifications: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree. Working toward, or possessing the CSCS Certification. CPR/AED Certified. Prior experience in collegiate strength and conditioning, as well as experience as a student-athlete are desired qualifications. ULM: The University of Louisiana Monroe is looking Fall 2016 mentorship candidates. Candidates must have a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and attention to detail. There is no monetary compensation for this position. The mentorship will begin August 19th and end December 15th. All mentors will be required to assist with football and other assigned sports. In conjunction with duties of coaching, mentors will be exposed to many aspects of strength and conditioning through educational presentations by current strength coaches at ULM. It is the goal of this mentorship program to educate mentors on both coaching presence and the science of training for sport. All candidates must be currently working towards or hold one of the following certificates CSCS, CSCCA, or USAW. Millersville (D-II - PA): Millersville University is currently seeking qualified volunteer / internship candidates for the fall 2016 semester. This is an unpaid position. The fall strength and conditioning program will run from August 8 th until December 18th (dates are flexible). Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program of the football team and potentially other University athletic programs, teaching student athletes safe and proper exercise technique, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and professional development throughout the internship. This internship will provide hands on coaching experience in a collegiate setting, have the potential to earn future recommendations for career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Preferred qualifications include Bachelor's or Master's in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field, previous coaching experience in a collegiate setting or competitive collegiate involvement, pursuing or have attained the SCC, CSCS, USAW, or FMS certifications, and being CPR and AED Certified. All interested candidates should email a cover letter, resume, and three references in one PDF or Word document to Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Robert Day at Robert.Day@millersville.edu.

Loyola University Maryland: Loyola University Maryland is looking to hire a PART-TIME Assistant strength and conditioning coach. The position is paid for no more than 20 hours a week at $15.00/per hour. The position will look to start ASAP and run through at least May 31st, 2017. However, candidates will receive Division I Intercollegiate experience, college credit towards graduation if applicable and be involved in the CSCCa mentorship program necessary to achieve the SCCC certification. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology or related field; NSCA-CSCS or USAW certifications; CPR certification. Experience in a Strength and Conditioning Program or have previous collegiate athletics experience is preferred. Having a background in performing and coaching Olympic lifts is preferred.
