Mississippi State: Mississippi State University Department of Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill Fall 2019 internship positions. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with supervision and execution of strength and conditioning training programs for various sports, attending to daily maintenance of the training facilities, use of technology/data analysis and professional development throughout the internship program. Qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach and pursuing NSCA-CSCS and/or CSCCa-SCCC certification(s). Miami (FL): University of Miami (FL) Strength and Conditioning is seeking highly motivated people to fill the Fall 2019 internship positions working primarily with Football , but will help with some Olympic sports. This internship will start July 24, 2019 through December 2019. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. The candidate must be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field and MUST be CPR and First Aid certified. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting staff in the design and implementation of strength programs including set up and breakdown of training equipment; as well as assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility, and ongoing professional development through the internship curriculum. Preferred Qualifications: Strong work ethic, and highly motivated. Experience working in a Strength or Sports Performance environment; currently hold or working towards a nationally- accredited strength and conditioning certification (USAW, SCCC, CSCS, etc.) PLEASE NOTE: These are non-paid volunteer position. Weber State: Weber State is actively seeking applicants for a Part-Time Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. This is a 12 month position with a total compensation of $13,000 paid out hourly. Must be willing to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends when it is called upon. Under the guidance of the director of strength and conditioning, the successful candidate will have 2-3 assigned teams as well as assisting with MBB and Football. Gain valuable knowledge and experience via, exercise selection/progression/regression, facility management, and professional development assignments. Oversee the fueling stations and applicable interns for the fueling station. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in exercise science or a related field. Master’s PREFERRED. CSCS or SCCC Certification and CPR/First Aid Required. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. A strong desire to become a Strength and Conditioning Professional at the Collegiate Level, ability to maintain a flexible and demanding schedule, effective communication and leadership skills in a group setting. Rhode Island:The University of Rhode Island is seeking one (1) Professional Strength and Conditioning Intern for the academic year of 2019- 20. This is an 8 month, PAID position with a $15,000 stipend distributed bi-weekly over the course of the internship. The internship will begin on Aug 26th 2019 and end April 30th 2020. Accepted applicant will receive practical hands- on experience in strength and conditioning at the Division 1 level, as well as the opportunity to participate in the intern education curriculum. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in exercise science or related field, CSCS, or SCCC certification, First Aid/CPR/AED training, the desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, a strong work ethic, the ability to commit to AT LEAST 40 hours per week including some weekends, and effective communication and teamwork skills. Responsibilities: Design and implement programs for assigned teams. Assist full time coaches in implementing programs, set up and break down of training sessions, weight room maintenance and upkeep, intern curriculum assignments and projects, and any other tasks or projects assigned by staff as they arise.
