Syracuse: The Syracuse University Football Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for volunteer intern coaches during summer 2017. This experience will expose participants to all facets of Strength and Conditioning; programming, program implementation, nutrition, facility management, and much more. Interns will receive experience working in an ACC, Division-I, training environment, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit (if applicable). Our program is looking for individuals that exhibit punctuality, enthusiasm, and diligence. Preferred qualifications include the achievement or current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or a related field of study, CSCS certification, USAW certification, and/or CPR/First Aid certification. UTSA: University of Texas at San Antonio is currently accepting applications for Summer 2017 volunteer internship positions. Qualified candidates would work with the Football Strength and Conditioning Department. This is an unpaid position that is responsible for assisting the UTSA Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of the Football Summer program, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility, and hands on experience training collegiate athletes. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and possess a strong work ethic. Other preferred qualifications include certification from an accredited organization, previous coaching experience, personal involvement in a collegiate competitive sport, and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements. There is no monetary compensation so if this position is not an economically feasible option for you, please do not apply. Official start date would be May 30 and continue through the end of July. Buffalo: The University at Buffalo (MAC) Football Sports Performance Department is looking to fill four (4) summer volunteer positions. Two (2) positions will be on the staff of five. The other two (2) will be non-football coaching volunteer positions for the summer term. These will both be unpaid positions (no monetary compensation). To be in consideration for a position on the staff of five, the potential candidates must be certified through either the NSCA (CSCS) or CSCCA (SCCC) and also have their CPR/AED certification. The successful candidates will assist with all daily duties as it pertains to Buffalo Sports Performance including but not limited to: assist with coaching, data tracking, data entry, supplementation, budget management and any other duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Performance. The expected start date (in Buffalo, NY) will tentatively be Thursday June 1st, 2017. FIU: Florida International University is accepting applications for Summer 2017 Unpaid Interns. The This position will work primarily with football. Interns will take part in daily and weekly educational sessions to help further their development as coaches. Interested applicants should be highly self motivated, punctual and possess and eagerness to learn + grow as a coach. Housing deals are available on campus. Central Methodist (NAIA - MO): Central Methodist University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting 1 Graduate Assistant Position. Central Methodist is an NAIA school and a part of the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Prospective Applicants must be passionate about Strength and Conditioning and have an incredible work ethic. Chosen Applicant will receive a $7500 a year stipend along with full tuition upon being accepted into the Graduate program. Full acceptance to graduate program of choice must be completed and paper work must be completed prior to first day. Daily responsibilities: full involvement with football strength and conditioning, full assistance with all 14 Sport teams, full program implementation of designated team(s), general maintenance of facility and motivating athletes from a positive coaching perspective.
